He approached Layla, who hurriedly checked on Zayd.

He tried to calm the crowd gathered around them.

"Calm down, Layla can help him," Kareem said in a steady voice.

باشرت ليلى في إسعاف زيد باستخدام القليل من المعدات الطبية المتوفرة لديها.

Layla began assisting Zayd using the little medical equipment she had.

بعد دقائق بدا زيد يستعيد وعيه، وسط ارتياح الجميع.

After a few minutes, Zayd started regaining consciousness, to everyone's relief.

بعد أن اطمأن الجميع على سلامة زيد، عاد كريم إلى الطابور.

Once everyone was assured of Zayd's safety, Kareem returned to the line.

كان منتفضاً، لكن الآن يشعر بالفخر.

He was upset, but now he felt proud.

بعد فترة انتظرها بصبر، أتى دوره للتصويت.

After a patiently awaited period, it was his turn to vote.

مد يده وثبت الورقة في الصندوق.

He reached out and placed the ballot in the box.

خرج كريم من مركز الاقتراع، وقد شعر بشيء جديد في داخله.
