A la bonica ciutat de Barcelona, hi ha un lloc màgic anomenat Parc Güell.
In the beautiful city of Barcelona, there is a magical place called Park Güell.
En un dia de primavera, el sol brilla i l’aire és fresc.
On a spring day, the sun is shining and the air is fresh.
Jordi, Montserrat i la seva filla Laia decideixen passar el dia allà.
Jordi, Montserrat, and their daughter Laia decide to spend the day there.
Jordi és un home alegre.
Jordi is a cheerful man.
Montserrat és molt pacient.
Montserrat is very patient.
Laia té sis anys i li encanta córrer i jugar.
Laia is six years old and loves to run and play.
Al mig del parc, hi ha molts turistes.

Un d'ells sembla perdut.

El turista mira un mapa amb confusió.

Jordi somriu i s'acosta al turista.

El turista el mira amb sorpresa.

- I’m looking for the dragon statue, - respon el turista.
"I’m looking for the dragon statue," responds the tourist.
Jordi vol ajudar. Però es posa nerviós.
Jordi wants to help, but he gets nervous.
Barregem les paraules catalanes i angleses.
He mixes up Catalan and English words.
- You go recte and after, destí... - diu Jordi.
"You go straight and after, destí..." says Jordi.
El turista sembla més confós.
The tourist seems more confused.
Laia riu i Montserrat sacseja el cap.
Laia laughs and Montserrat shakes her head.
- Jordi, potser et puc ajudar. - diu Montserrat.
"Jordi, maybe I can help," says Montserrat.
Montserrat parla amb el turista.
Montserrat talks to the tourist.
Ella usa moviment amb les mans.
She uses hand movements.
El turista somriu i dóna les gràcies.
The tourist smiles and thanks them.
Jordi se sent una mica avergonyit.
Jordi feels a bit embarrassed.
- No passa res, Jordi! - diu Montserrat, - Estic orgullosa de tu per intentar-ho.
"It's okay, Jordi!" says Montserrat, "I’m proud of you for trying."
Jordi riu i ho agraeix.
Jordi laughs and thanks her.
Amb el problema resolt, Jordi, Montserrat i Laia continuen el seu passeig.
With the problem solved, Jordi, Montserrat, and Laia continue their stroll.
Juguen, parlen i gaudeixen del dia al parc.
They play, talk, and enjoy the day in the park.
Jordi pensa que necessita estudiar anglès.
Jordi thinks he needs to study English.
Montserrat li diu que està bé.
Montserrat tells him it’s okay.
- Els errors ens fan millors, - diu ella.
"Our mistakes make us better," she says.
Al final del dia, rient i feliços, tornen a casa.
At the end of the day, laughing and happy, they return home.
Jordi sap que aprendre és important.
Jordi knows that learning is important.
I així, al Parc Güell, Jordi es va adonar que la voluntat d’intentar-ho és el que més importa.
