  • Dnes měl potkat nového klienta.

    Today he was to meet a new client.

  • Díky tomu kontraktu by byl finančně v pohodě.

    Thanks to that contract, he would be financially secure.

  • Ale cítil se jinak.

    But he felt different.

  • Něco ho tlačilo v hrudi.

    Something pressed in his chest.

  • Nepřikládal tomu velkou váhu.

    He didn't pay much attention to it.

  • Měl přece vydělat peníze.

    After all, he was going to make money.

  • „Musím to zvládnout,“ říkal si v duchu.

    "I have to manage this," he told himself.

  • Bylo mu čtyřicet pět let a freelancing byl jeho životem.

    He was forty-five years old, and freelancing was his life.

  • Stres z práce ho sice tížil, ale nechtěl si to přiznat.

    The stress from work was weighing on him, but he didn't want to admit it.

  • Musel být silný.

    He had to be strong.

  • Potřeboval ten kontrakt.

    He needed that contract.

  • Pomalu se blížil ke středu mostu.

    Slowly, he approached the middle of the bridge.

  • Najednou ucítil prudkou bolest v hrudi.

    Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his chest.

    Then he saw him.

  • Klient stál na boku mostu a čekal.

    The client was standing to the side of the bridge, waiting.

  • Václav se snažil usmát, ale tělo ho zradilo.

    Václav tried to smile, but his body betrayed him.

  • Ještě jeden krok a ztratil vědomí.

    Just one more step, and he lost consciousness.

  • Zhroutil se přímo na tvrdé kostky mostu.

    He collapsed right onto the hard cobblestones of the bridge.

  • Klient to uviděl a okamžitě zavolal sanitku.

    The client saw it and immediately called an ambulance.

  • Lidé kolem se seběhli a snažili se Václava probudit.

    People gathered around and tried to revive Václav.

  • Byl v bezvědomí, ale dýchal.

    He was unconscious but breathing.

  • Během několika minut na místo přijela záchranka.

    Within minutes, the ambulance arrived.

  • Přeložili Václava na nosítka a odvezli ho do nemocnice.

    They put Václav on a stretcher and took him to the hospital.

  • Probral se v nemocnici, kde mu lékaři řekli, že měl infarkt.

    He woke up in the hospital, where doctors told him he had had a heart attack.
