Nový rok je jen jednou za rok,“ řekla Jana s povzdechem.

The New Year comes only once a year," Jana said with a sigh.

Karel se zamyslel.

Karel pondered.

Znovu se podíval na obrazovku svého telefonu, kde mu blikaly nové pracovní e-maily.

„Já vím, Jani.

Ale musím si být jistý, že mám všechno v pořádku pro po-novoroční schůzku,“ odpověděl a povzdechl.

Jeho mysl byla rozpolcená.

Jana se usmála a vzala svého bratra za ruku.

Jana smiled and took her brother by the hand.

„Někdy je důležitější být přítomný tady a teď, než ubíhat do budoucnosti,“ řekla moudře.

"Sometimes it's more important to be present here and now than to run into the future," she said wisely.

Karel se na ni podíval.
