  • Roedd Rhys yn crwydro o gwmpas Marchnad Abertawe ar fore dydd Sadwrn prysur, a'i lygaid yn sgleinio wrth iddo edrych ar yr amrywiaeth o nwyddau a oedd yn llanw'r stondinau.

Rhys was wandering around Swansea Market on a busy Saturday morning, his eyes sparkling as he looked at the variety of goods filling the stalls.

  • O'r pysgod ffres a'r cawsion Cymreig hyd at y crefftau llaw a'r blodau lliwgar, roedd pob rhan o'r farchnad yn llenwi Rhys â chyffro.

From the fresh fish and Welsh cheeses to the handmade crafts and colorful flowers, every part of the market filled Rhys with excitement.

  • Wrth gerdded o amgylch, sylwodd ar bentyrrau o wlân defaid wedi'u gosod yn ofalus mewn un cornel, y lliwiau naturiol yn amrywio o wyn i llwyd tywyll.

As he walked around, he noticed bundles of carefully placed sheep wool in one corner, the natural colors ranging from white to dark grey.

  • Heb feddwl ddwywaith, rhuthrodd Rhys tuag atynt, ei galon yn chwennych moment o orffwys ar ôl bore o grwydro.

Without thinking twice, he rushed towards them, his heart craving a moment of rest after a morning of wandering.

  • Yn meddwl fod y pentwr o wlân yn gadair feddal a chyfforddus, bwrwodd Rhys ei hun ymlaen, disgwyl i'w gorff gael ei gysuro gan y dillad meddal.

Thinking the wool bundle to be a soft and comfortable chair, Rhys threw himself onto it, expecting his body to be soothed by the soft clothing.

  • Ond, wrth iddo syrthio ar y pentwr, fe wnaeth sŵn ‘poof!’ mawr, gan daflu wlân i bob cyfeiriad.

But as he landed on the bundle, there was a loud "poof!" as wool flew in all directions.

  • Cyfododd yr holl bobl oedd yn cerdded heibio eu llygaid mewn syndod, gan wylio â chwerthin a syndod wrth i Rhys ddeffro'r farchnad gydag eisteddiad annisgwyl.

Everyone walking by stopped in surprise, watching with laughter and amazement as Rhys startled the market with an unexpected seating.

  • Rhys, ychydig yn ddigymar ac wedi'i gyrru i fyd arall gan y sŵn a'r ysgeintio wlân, edrychodd o gwmpas ac aeth wyneb yn wridog wrth sylweddoli beth oedd wedi digwydd.

Rhys, somewhat embarrassed and taken to another world by the sound and the scattering wool, looked around and went red-faced as he realized what had happened.

  • Roedd y masnachwr wlân, hen ddyn gyda barf llwyd a gwên ddeallgar, yn sefyll uwch ei ben yn cadw'r chwerthin yn ôl a'i lygaid yn sgleinio o hwyl.

The wool merchant, an old man with a grey beard and a knowing smile, stood above him keeping the laughter back and his eyes sparkling with amusement.

  • "Annwyl i mi," meddai Rhys, gan ddechrau casglu'r wlân ynghyd a'i roi'n ôl yn ei le.

"Poor me," said Rhys, starting to gather the wool and put it back in its place.

  • "Peidiwch â phoeni, hogyn iau," atebodd y masnachwr mewn tôn mwyn, "Mae wedi dod â gwên ar wynebau pawb heddiw, a dyna sy'n bwysig!"

"Don't worry, young lad," the merchant answered in a gentle tone, "He brought a smile to everyone's faces today, and that's what matters!"

  • Yn fuan, dychwelodd pawb at eu busnes, a Rhys, gyda chymorth y masnachwr, adferodd y pentwr o wlân i'w ffurf flaenorol.

Soon everyone returned to their businesses, and with the merchant's help, Rhys restored the bundle of wool to its former shape.

  • Gwerthodd y masnachwr wlân ychydig o'r deunydd cyffro i Rhys fel nodyn atgof o'i antur annisgwyl, a chyfnewid chwerthin a straeon am y digwyddiad.

The wool merchant sold a bit of the excited material to Rhys as a memento of his unexpected adventure, exchanging laughter and stories about the incident.

  • Dysgodd Rhys wers bwysig am fod yn fwy gofalus o gwmpas y llefydd newydd y mae'n eu harchwilio, ond, yn bwysicach fyth, y grym o chwerthin a'r modd y mae'n dod â phobl ynghyd.

Rhys learned an important lesson about being more careful around the new places he explores, but more importantly, the power of laughter and the way it brings people together.

  • Ac roedd gan Rhys rhywbeth i'w gofio am ei ymweliad â Marchnad Abertawe, nid yn unig mewn stori ond yn y darn diymwad o wlân y byddai'n ei drysori am byth.

And Rhys had something to remember from his visit to Swansea Market, not just in a story but in the everlasting piece of wool he would treasure forever.
