Sheep Saga: A Lost Walker's Summit Triumph
Roedd Rhys a'i ffrindiau Eleri a Gareth yn crwydro'r mynyddoedd yn Eryri, y Parc Cenedlaethol lle mae awel gynnes yn ysgogi'ch enaid a lle mae uchelfannau mympwyol yn her i gerddwyr anturus.
Rhys and his friends Eleri and Gareth were wandering the mountains in Snowdonia, the National Park where warm winds stimulate your soul and where rugged peaks challenge adventurous walkers.
Yn frwd dros antur, roedd y tri yn benderfynol o ddringo i gopa uchaf Cymru, Yr Wyddfa.
Passionate about adventure, the trio was determined to climb to the highest peak in Wales, Yr Wyddfa.
Un bore cynnar, pan oedd niwl yn ymdroelli'n drwm dros lethrau Eryri, dechreuodd Rhys a'i gyfeillion eu taith.
One early morning, as mist rolled heavily over the slopes of Snowdonia, Rhys and his friends began their journey.
Roedd Eleri’n dynes gelfydd gyda mapiau a Gareth yn adnabod pob llwybr fel cefn ei law, ond Rhys, er ei fod yn llawn cyffro, oedd y mwyaf newydd i gerdded mynydd.
Eleri was an artistic woman with maps, and Gareth was familiar with every path as if it were in the palm of his hand, but Rhys, although full of excitement, was the most inexperienced in mountain walking.
Wrth i’r grŵp symud ymlaen, dechreuodd y niwl godi'n araf, gan ddatgelu’r dirwedd hudolus o’u cwmpas.
As the group moved forward, the mist started to lift slowly, revealing the magical landscape around them.
Cawsant eu syfrdanu gan liwiau sydyn y blodau gwyllt a'r olygfeydd pell o lannau'r llynnoedd.
They were mesmerized by the swift colors of the wildflowers and the distant views of the shores of the lakes.
Ond mewn eiliad, wrth iddo golli ei ffocws, gwnaeth Rhys gamgymeriad; aeth ar goll.
But in a moment of distraction, Rhys made a mistake and got lost.
Fe adawodd y llwybr prif heb sylwi a chymerodd ei lwybr ei hun trwy'r coetir trwchus.
He left the main path without noticing and took his own path through the dense woodland.
Pan sylweddolodd Eleri a Gareth fod Rhys wedi mynd, dechreuon nhw wylo, "Rhys! Ble wyt ti?"
When Eleri and Gareth realized that Rhys had gone, they started to cry, "Rhys! Where are you?"
Ni chlywodd Rhys eu galwadau oherwydd y coetir a'r pellter rhyngddynt wedi tyfu yn rhy fawr.
Rhys did not hear their calls because the dense woodland and the distance between them had become too large.
Yn sydyn, daeth wyneb yn wyneb ag afr o ddefaid, a dilynwyd gan fwy a mwy fel y siâp o storm.
Suddenly, a face-to-face encounter with a flock of sheep followed by more and more, like the shape of a storm, appeared.
Roedd y defaid yn wyllt ac yn chwareus, yn rhedeg o gwmpas yn ddi-ben-draw heb unrhyw ystyriaeth i’r crwydryn coll.
The sheep were wild and playful, running wildly without any consideration for the lost wanderer.
Am funud, roedd Rhys yn ansicr beth i'w wneud.
For a moment, Rhys was unsure of what to do.
Roedd y defaid yn ei amgylchynu fel cwmwl gwyn ac yn ei atal rhag mynd yn ôl i'r llwybr cywir.
The sheep surrounded him like a white cloud and prevented him from returning to the right path.
Ond yna, cofiodd Rhys rywbeth a ddysgodd wrth edrych ar raglenni natur - weithiau, yr ateb gorau yw gweithredu gyda hyder.
But then, Rhys remembered something he had learned from watching nature programs - sometimes, the best answer is to act with confidence.
Dechreuodd Rhys ddefnyddio ei benelin i wneud ffordd trwy'r dorf o ddefaid, gan ddefnyddio ei gorff fel arweinydd tawel ond penderfynol.
Rhys began to use his head to make his way through the flock of sheep, using his body as a calm but determined leader.
Sylweddolodd fod y defaid yn dilyn ei symudiadau’n ofalus; roedd yn arwain yn awr, yn lle cael ei arwain.
He realized that the sheep were carefully following his movements; he was leading now, instead of being led.
Ar ôl ymladd ei ffordd trwy'r praidd, gwelodd Rhys arwydd o'r llwybr ac yn y pen draw, gwelodd Eleri a Gareth yn ffrwydro o ryddhad wrth iddo ymuno â nhw unwaith eto.
After fighting his way through the flock, Rhys saw a sign of the path and eventually, he saw Eleri and Gareth bursting with relief as he joined them again.
Fe wnaethant gofleidio a dal eu gilydd wrth iddynt benderfynu parhau'u taith gyda mwy o ofal y tro hwn.
They hugged and held each other as they decided to continue their journey with more care this time.
Yn y diwedd, ar ôl oedi bach a bygythiad gan y defaid i'w taith, cyrhaeddodd y tri gyfaill gopa Yr Wyddfa gyda'u cwmni gilydd yn fwy gwerthfawr nag erioed.
In the end, after a little delay and a slight threat from the sheep to their journey, the three friends reached the summit of Yr Wyddfa with their company more valuable than ever.
Roedd Rhys wedi dysgu gwers bwysig am fapio a mordwyo, ac roedd pob un ohonynt wedi dysgu pwysigrwydd cydweithio a chadw llygad allan am ei gilydd, boed yng nghanol cawodydd Cymru neu ganol ei phrydferthwch.
Rhys had learned an important lesson about mapping and leadership, and they had all learned the importance of cooperating and keeping an eye out for each other, whether in the midst of Welsh valleys or amidst its beauty.
