Crisis on Snowdonia: A Couple's Harrowing Journey to Safety
Pan oedd yr heulwen yn tywynnu ar gopaon Eryri, roedd Carys a Dafydd yn cerdded ar y llwybr serth.
When the sunshine was shining on the peaks of Snowdonia, Carys and Dafydd were walking on the steep path.
Roedd y ddiwrnod yn berffaith.
The day was perfect.
Roedd Carys yn edmygu golygfeydd hyfryd o amgylch y mynyddoedd.
Carys was admiring the beautiful views around the mountains.
Roedd Dafydd yn gwenud lluniau gyda'i gamera newydd.
Dafydd was taking pictures with his new camera.
"Edrych ar y wawr, Carys," meddai Dafydd.
"Look at the dawn, Carys," said Dafydd.
"Mae'n anhygoel!
"It's incredible!"
""Ydy," meddai Carys gyda chwerthin, "dych chi erioed wedi gweld rhywbeth mor brydferth.
"Yes," said Carys with a laugh, "you've never seen anything so beautiful."
"Ond ar ganol y daith, dechreuodd Carys deimlo'n wael.
But in the middle of the journey, Carys began to feel unwell.
Dechreuodd hi beswch ac yn teimlo poen yn ei stumog.
She started coughing and feeling pain in her stomach.
"Dafydd, dw i'm teimlo'n iawn," meddai Carys yn wan.
"Dafydd, I don't feel well," said Carys weakly.
Daliodd Dafydd ei dwylo.
Dafydd held her hands.
"Beth sy'n bod?
"What's wrong?"
" gofynnodd e'n bryderus.
he asked worriedly.
"Rwy'n teimlo'n sâl," meddai Carys.
"I feel sick," said Carys.
"Dw i angen eistedd lawr.
"I need to sit down."
"Roedd Dafydd yn poeni.
Dafydd was worried.
Roeddynt yng nghanol dim lle gyda neb o gwmpas i helpu.
They were in the middle of nowhere with no one around to help.
"Eistedd yma," meddai, gan roi ei fwynol ar lawr.
"Sit here," he said, placing his jacket on the ground.
Eisteddodd Carys arno, yn anadlu'n drymach.
Carys sat on it, breathing heavily.
Gafaelodd Dafydd ei bag.
Dafydd grabbed his bag.
"Mae'r dŵr gyda fi," meddai, gan agor y botel a'i roi i Carys.
"I have the water," he said, opening the bottle and giving it to Carys.
Diolchodd hi iddo ac yfed y dŵr, ond ni theimlai'n well.
She thanked him and drank the water, but did not feel better.
Roedd ei gwyneb yn wyn fel y galchen.
Her face was white like chalk.
"Dafydd, mae'n rhaid i ni ddod o hyd i gymorth," cyfadde Dafydd yn faleisus.
"Dafydd, we need to find help," admitted Dafydd anxiously.
"Dw i ddim yn gwybod beth i'w wneud!
"I don't know what to do!"
"Am fewn eiliadau, clywodd Dafydd sŵn camau traed yn dod tuag atynt.
Within seconds, Dafydd heard the sound of footsteps approaching them.
Roedd yn deulu yn cerdded gyda'u ci.
It was a family walking with their dog.
"Help, help!
"Help, help!"
" gwaeddodd Dafydd.
shouted Dafydd.
Daeth y teulu atynt yn gyflym.
The family quickly came over.
"Beth sy'n digwydd?
"What's happening?"
" gofynnodd y dyn gyda dannedd seren.
asked the man with a bright smile.
"Mae hi'n sal iawn," eglurodd Dafydd, gan ddal Carys yn ofalus.
"She's very sick," explained Dafydd, holding Carys carefully.
"Rwyn paramedigion," meddai'r dyn.
"I'm a paramedic," said the man.
"Rhaid i ni galw am help brys.
"We need to call for emergency help."
" Gafaelodd ei ffôn symudol a chychwyn ffonio.
He grabbed his mobile phone and started dialing.
Cofrestrodd amser fel araf oen.
Time seemed to slow down painfully.
A fuan daeth hofrennydd achub ar y lle, hedfanodd yn brysur i Ynys Môn ag orbedig.
Soon, a rescue helicopter arrived at the scene and flew swiftly to Anglesey with the patient.
Yn Ysbyty Gwynedd, gwnaeth y meddygon i Carys deimlo'n well.
At Ysbyty Gwynedd, the doctors made Carys feel better.
Roedd hi wedi cael gwrthrychwydd brwd.
She had received timely treatment.
Roedd angen gorffwys a gwella.
She needed to rest and recover.
Ar ôl cwpl o ddyddiau, roedd hi'n teimlo'n well.
After a couple of days, she felt better.
Dychwelasant i'w cartref yn ddiogel.
They returned home safely.
Roedd Dafydd a Carys wedi hen wynebu'r argyfwng, ond bellach, roedd hyn wedi'u gwneud yn fwy cryf ac wedi'u cysylltu'n fwy agos nag erioed.
Dafydd and Carys had faced a crisis, but now, it had made them stronger and closer than ever.
"Diolch, Dafydd," meddai Carys yn dawel, "am fod yno i mi.
"Thank you, Dafydd," said Carys quietly, "for being there for me."
""Bob tro," atebodd e, gyda thosturi yn ei lygaid.
"Always," he replied, with compassion in his eyes.
Roeddent wedi dysgu pwysigrwydd iechyd a chymorth ar y daith fwya anhygoel o'u bywydau.
They had learned the importance of health and support on the most incredible journey of their lives.
Ac eleni, prin byddai'r heulwen yn serennu ar yr hedirol Snowdonia heb o mwy adrodd anturiaethau.
And this year, the sunshine wouldn’t shine on the soaring heights of Snowdonia without both of them recounting their adventure.
