Adventure and Adversity: Hiking Mishap in Snowdonia
Ar y bore cynnar, roedd yr awyr yn glir a'r heulwen yn disgleirio dros Barc Cenedlaethol Eryri.
On the early morning, the sky was clear and the sunshine was gleaming over Snowdonia National Park.
Roedd Carys a Dylan yn cerdded i fyny'r mynyddoedd gyda balchder ac edrych ymlaen at y daith.
Carys and Dylan were walking up the mountains with pride and looking forward to the journey.
Roedd y ddau yn hoff iawn o fynydda.
Both were very fond of hiking.
"Gwelais barcyn bach yma," meddai Carys, yn edrych ar fap.
"I saw a small park here," said Carys, looking at a map.
"Rydym yn agos.
"We are close."
""Dwi'n canolbwyntio ar fynd i fyny'r ffordd prysur," atebodd Dylan yn wên.
"I'm focusing on climbing the busy path," Dylan answered with a smile.
Wrth iddynt symud ymlaen, dechreuodd Dylan deimlo cur pen bach.
As they moved on, Dylan started to feel a slight headache.
Ond nid oedd am stopio.
But he didn't want to stop.
Roedd yn mwynhau cymaint y golygfeydd.
He was enjoying the views so much.
"Mae'n bryd i ni gymryd saib," awgrymodd Carys.
"It's time for us to take a break," suggested Carys.
"Nid wyf eisiau aros," dywedodd Dylan.
"I don't want to stop," said Dylan.
"Rwy eisiau cyrraedd y brig cyn amser cinio.
"I want to reach the top before lunchtime."
"Ar y funud hon, trodd Dylan ei droed ar garreg ludiog a chlywodd sŵn cras.
At that moment, Dylan turned his foot on a slippery stone and heard a crunching noise.
Siriolodd Dylan wrth i boen sydyn deimlo yn ei bigwrn.
Dylan winced as a sudden pain shot through his ankle.
"O na!
"Oh no!
Dylan, wyt ti'n iawn?
Dylan, are you alright?"
" gwaeddodd Carys, yn rhedeg tuag ato.
shouted Carys, running towards him.
"Fy nghoes!
"My leg!
Mae'n brifo," atebodd Dylan.
It hurts," replied Dylan.
Gwelodd Carys bod pigwrn Dylan wedi chwyddo.
Carys saw that Dylan's ankle had swollen.
Rhaid oedd iddynt fynd yn ôl yn araf.
They had to go back slowly.
Roedd y daith yn hir ac anodd.
The journey was long and difficult.
Roedd y ddau yn teimlo'n siomedig ond roedd yn bwysig edrych ar ôl iechyd Dylan.
Both felt disappointed but it was important to look after Dylan's health.
"Rydym yn agos at y llyn," meddai Carys yn benderfynol.
"We are close to the lake," said Carys determinedly.
"Gallwn eistedd yno am ychydig.
"We can sit there for a while."
"Wedi cyrraedd y llyn, eisteddon nhw ar ben carreg fawr a dechreuodd Carys glanhau'r clwyf Dylan.
Upon reaching the lake, they sat on a large rock and Carys began to clean Dylan's wound.
"Byddwn ni'n iawn," meddai hi'n dawel.
"We’ll be okay," she said calmly.
"Rwy'n gwybod llwybr byrrach i fynd yn ôl.
"I know a shorter path to go back."
"Aeth y daith yn araf ond roedd hi'n braf.
The journey back was slow but pleasant.
Wrth iddynt symud yn ôl, clywodd y ddau gan adar a gweld anifeiliaid gwyllt.
As they moved back, the two heard birds singing and saw wild animals.
Pan gyrhaeddon nhw'r man cychwyn, edrychodd y ddau ar ei gilydd a chwarddodd.
When they reached the starting point, they looked at each other and laughed.
"Er nad aeth popeth fel roeddem wedi cynllunio, roedd hi'n antur," meddai Dylan.
"Even though everything didn't go as planned, it was an adventure," said Dylan.
"Un dychwelwn ati eto, un diwrnod," atebodd Carys yn gwên llawn.
"One we will return to, one day," replied Carys with a bright smile.
"Ac y tro hwn, byddwn ni'n fwy gofalus!
"And this time, we'll be more careful!"
" ychwanegodd Dylan, gan chwerthin.
added Dylan, laughing.
Roedd y ddau yn hapus i fod adref, yn ddiogel.
Both were happy to be home, safe.
Roedd y wers a ddysgodd yma yn werthfawr iawn.
The lesson learned here was very valuable.
A dyna ddiwedd ar eu stori arbennig yn Eryri.
And that was the end of their special story in Snowdonia.
