Conquering Snowdon: A Story of Friendship and Courage
Y bore oedd yn gyfarch hael ac yn llonni i gynifer o deithiau, ac ni allai Carys a Rhodri ddechrau diwrnod gwell i'w hantur.
The morning greeted generously and cheered up many journeys, and Carys and Rhodri could not have started a better day for their adventure.
Cerddai Carys a Rhodri i fyny'r llwybr serth yn Eryri, y goleuni haul yn glir yn eu golygon.
Carys and Rhodri were walking up the steep path in Snowdonia, the sunlight clear in their sight.
Roedd Carys yn gyffroi.
Carys was excited.
Roedd hi'n barod i groesi pob anhawster i gyrraedd copa'r Wyddfa.
She was ready to overcome any difficulty to reach the peak of Snowdon.
Roedd Rhodri wrth ei hochr, yn dawelach ac yn llai siŵr.
Rhodri was by her side, quieter and less certain.
Roedd ofn uchder wedi dal ei afael arno'n drwm.
The fear of heights had gripped him heavily.
"Rydyn ni'n gallu gwneud hyn," meddai Carys yn benderfynol.
"We can do this," said Carys determinedly.
"Rydw i'n gwybod efallai fydd hi'n anodd, ond ni allwn ymwrthod â'r cyfle hon."
"I know it might be difficult, but we can't refuse this opportunity."
Edrychodd Rhodri i'r ddaear ac yn ôl ar y mynydd uchel.
Rhodri looked at the ground and back at the high mountain.
"Bydd popeth yn iawn, Carys," meddai, heb fod yn siŵr yn wir.
"Everything will be alright, Carys," he said, not entirely sure.
Roedd y llwybr yn mynd yn fwy serth a chreigiog wrth iddynt fynd yn uwch.
The path became steeper and rockier as they ascended.
Roedd y golygfeydd o'r gwastadeddau gwyrddlas yn llonnarad, ond roedd Rhodri'n canolbwyntio ar ei anadl, gan gofio i beidio edrych i lawr.
The views of the lush green plains were enlivening, but Rhodri focused on his breathing, remembering not to look down.
Wrth iddynt agosáu at ledled cul, roedd Rhodri'n arafu.
As they approached a narrow ledge, Rhodri slowed down.
Gwelodd Carys am edrych yn ôl.
Carys noticed and looked back.
"Ti'n iawn, Rhodri?" gofynnodd hi'n braf.
"Are you alright, Rhodri?" she asked kindly.
Teimlodd Rhodri ei galon yn cyflymu.
Rhodri felt his heart race.
"Dydw i ddim yn siŵr," atebodd, gan deimlo ofn yn ei lais.
"I'm not sure," he replied, hearing the fear in his voice.
Cynigiodd Carys ei law er cymorth.
Carys offered her hand for help.
"Yma, Rhodri; rydym yn tîm.
"Here, Rhodri; we're a team.
Nid wyf am gyrraedd y copa hebot ti."
I don't want to reach the peak without you."
Cymerodd Rhodri y llaw, gan ddal ei anadl, a daeth ymlaen yn araf.
Rhodri took the hand, holding his breath, and moved forward slowly.
Arhosodd y ddau wrth y ledled, wedi'u hamgylchynu gan fynyddoedd, a'r gwynt yn curo'n galed yn eu hwynebau.
The two paused at the ledge, surrounded by mountains, with the wind beating hard against their faces.
Roedd Rhodri'n rhewi am eiliad, methu symud ymlaen na'n ôl.
Rhodri froze for a moment, unable to move forward or back.
"Gallwn ni wneud hyn," poedodd Carys.
"We can do this," urged Carys.
"Rho dy swydd ymlaen, un cam ar y tro."
"Put your effort forward, one step at a time."
Gafaelodd Rhodri yn dynach, gan gydio'n gryfach yn llaw ei ffrind.
Rhodri gripped tighter, holding his friend's hand more firmly.
Gan gymryd anadl dynn, cymerodd un cam yn araf, ac yna gam arall.
Taking a deep breath, he took one slow step, and then another.
Yn araf bach, dechreuodd symud.
Gradually, he began to move.
Wedi oriau o ddringo a gorchfygu ofnau, gwelodd y ddau gopa'r Wyddfa y tu blaen.
After hours of climbing and conquering fears, the two saw the summit of Snowdon ahead.
Roedd y mynydd yn enfawr, a'r gorwel yn llawn o obaith.
The mountain was immense, and the horizon was full of hope.
"Rydym wedi llwyddo!" gweiddi Carys, ei llais yn llond llawenydd.
"We've done it!" shouted Carys, her voice full of joy.
Cydiodd Rhodri yn llaw Carys unwaith eto.
Rhodri held Carys's hand once again.
"Diolch i ti," meddai'n dawel.
"Thank you," he said quietly.
"Hebot ti, fyddwn ni ddim wedi cyrraedd."
"Without you, we wouldn't have made it."
Wrth sefyll ar y copa, aeddu brwydr pob cam, roedd Carys a Rhodri yn teimlo rhywbeth mwy na llwyddiant dros y mynydd.
Standing on the peak, having earned every step, Carys and Rhodri felt something more than simply conquering the mountain.
Roeddent wedi meithrin perthynas pwysicach — un o gefnogaeth ac ymddiriedaeth.
They had fostered a more important relationship — one of support and trust.
Ac wrth iddynt edrych i lawr o'r copa, roeddynt yn gwybod bod pob cam, pob llwyddiant a chynghori ei gilydd wedi gwneud yr antur yn wirioneddol werthfawr.
As they looked down from the peak, they knew that every step, every success, and each other's encouragement had made the adventure truly worthwhile.
