The Curious Case of Dylan's Missing Sheep
Roedd y dydd yn boeth yn Heddlu Caerdydd.
It was a hot day at Cardiff Police Station.
Roedd haul yr haf yn tywynnu'n llachar, ac roedd yr awyr yn las a chlir.
The summer sun was shining brightly, and the sky was blue and clear.
Roedd y swyddfa brysur gyda phobl yn adrodd am ddigwyddiadau bach yr haf.
The office was busy with people reporting minor summer incidents.
Yna, ar un bryd, cerddodd Dylan, Carys, ac Eira i mewn.
Then, at one point, Dylan, Carys, and Eira walked in.
"Dwi angen help," meddai Dylan, yn ceisio dal anadl ar ôl cerdded y pellter hir.
"I need help," said Dylan, trying to catch his breath after walking a long distance.
"Mae fy mamog wedi mynd ar goll."
"My sheep has gone missing."
"Mae'n ddrwg gen i am eich colled," meddai’r sergenn Eira, yn edrych ar Dylan gyda llongyfarchiad a chwilfrydedd yn ei llygaid.
"I'm sorry for your loss," said Sergeant Eira, looking at Dylan with both sympathy and curiosity.
Roedd hi wrth ei bodd â chases anarferol.
She loved unusual cases.
"Sut ddigwyddodd hyn?"
"How did this happen?"
"Roeddwn i’n pori’r mamog yn fy mhaddock," eglurodd Dylan, yn llachar.
"I was grazing the sheep in my paddock," Dylan explained brightly.
"Pan es i edrych y bore yma, roedd hi wedi diflannu!"
"When I went to check this morning, she had disappeared!"
"Gallai fod wedi mynd am dro?" gofynnodd Carys, a oedd yn sefyll wrth ei ochr.
"Could she have gone for a wander?" asked Carys, who was standing beside him.
Roedd Carys yn wyliadwrus iawn ac yn aml yn cwestiynu stori Dylan.
Carys was very observant and often questioned Dylan's story.
"Na," atebodd Dylan, yn ysgwyd ei ben.
"No," replied Dylan, shaking his head.
"Mae hi bob amser yn aros yn agos at y fferm.
"She always stays close to the farm.
Rhywun wedi dwyn hi, dwi'n siwr."
Someone has stolen her, I'm sure."
Yr oedd Eira yn ystyried.
Eira considered this.
"Iawn," meddai hi yn olaf.
"Alright," she finally said.
"Dechreuwn ni ymchwilio.
"Let's start investigating.
Cerddwn tu cefn."
Let's walk to the back."
Yn y cefn, cerddodd Eira i storfa’r heddlu.
In the back, Eira walked to the police storage room.
Tynnodd masod rhaglen sirialu gen i sicrhau ei fod yn llawn.
She pulled out a detailed file to make sure it was complete.
“Dyma’r ddirgelwch mwyaf erioed,” meddai hi gyda gwên ar ei hwyneb.
"This is the biggest mystery ever," she said with a smile on her face.
“Dylem chwilio am giw,” meddai Carys.
"We should look for a clue," said Carys.
Roedd hi’n arfer bod yn resymol.
She was used to being rational.
Cerddodd y tri o gwmpas Caerdydd, a daethon nhw o hyd i draciau o wlân gwyn.
The three of them walked around Cardiff and found traces of white wool.
Cerddon nhw ar hyd y traciau nes cyrraedd maes chwarae.
They followed the tracks until they reached a playground.
Yno, gwelson nhw blant yn chwarae â'r mamog.
There, they saw children playing with the sheep.
“Mae hi yma!” meddai Dylan yn llawen.
"There she is!" said Dylan happily.
“Diolch, Eira.
"Thank you, Eira.
Diolch, Carys.”
Thank you, Carys."
Edrychodd Eira ar y plant a’r mamog.
Eira looked at the children and the sheep.
“Mae’n edrych fel bod eich mamog wedi gwneud ffrindiau newydd,” meddai Eira gyda gwên.
"It looks like your sheep has made new friends," Eira said with a smile.
“Pam nad ydy hi’n cael aros am funud?”
"Why doesn’t she stay for a minute?"
Chwarddodd Carys a Dylan.
Carys and Dylan laughed.
Roedd Eira yn phon dirgelach, a’i mamog yn phon saglau’r dyddiadur.
Eira was always keen on a good mystery, and her sheep seemed to enjoy the new company.
“Ia, mae’n iawn,” meddai Dylan.
"Yes, it's alright," said Dylan.
“Duw!”
"Goodness!"
Cawsant esboniad gan un o’r plant.
One of the children provided an explanation.
“Daeth hi yma neithiwr.
"She came here last night.
Rydyn ni’n ei alw Seren,” meddai’r bachgen.
We call her Seren," said the boy.
“Yr ydych eisiau ei gweld gyda ni.”
"You are welcome to watch her with us."
Yn y diwedd, llwyddodd Dylan i gadw ei mamog wedi i’r plant siarad.
In the end, Dylan managed to take his sheep home after talking with the children.
“Byddaf yn sicrhau ei bod yn ddiogel o hyn ymlaen,” meddai Dylan wrth yr heddwch meddylgar ar ei wyneb.
"I will ensure she is safe from now on,” Dylan said, with peace of mind on his face.
Ac felly, pryd bynnag y daw'r haf eto, roedd Dylan yn gofalu am ei mamog.
And so, whenever summer comes again, Dylan takes care of his sheep.
A phob blwyddyn ar gyfer gwyliau’r pentref, roedd Seren yn rhoi clustog y plygiadau heb fwlro.
And every year for the village holiday, Seren is there, happily interacting without wandering off.
Roedd pawb yn hapus.
Everyone was happy.
