When Romance Takes Flight: Adventures in Portmeirion
Ers amser maith, roedd Portmeirion yn llawn lliw a bywyd.
For a long time, Portmeirion was full of color and life.
Roedd yr haf wedi troi i'r hydref, gan adael y dail yn felyn, coch, ac aur.
Summer had turned to autumn, leaving the leaves yellow, red, and gold.
Yn y pentref bach hwn, ddechreuodd stori Dafydd a Gwen.
In this small village, the story of Dafydd and Gwen began.
Roedd Dafydd yn wynebu cawod o deimladau: cyffro, nerfusrwydd, a phenderfyniad.
Dafydd was experiencing a shower of emotions: excitement, nervousness, and determination.
Meddwl mawr iddo ef oedd creu golygfa ramantus i Gwen, fel yn y ffilmiau.
His big idea was to create a romantic scene for Gwen, just like in the movies.
Roedd y pentref yn berffaith: adeiladau llachar, llwybrau troellog, a'r môr yn disgleirio tu draw.
The village was perfect: bright buildings, winding paths, and the sea shimmering in the distance.
Wrth fynd i'r adran garlleg-lobscaws yn siop fach y pentref, trechwyd Dafydd gan syniad.
While heading to the garlic-lobscaws section in the village's small shop, Dafydd was struck by an idea.
Byddai'n yn ail-greu'r olygfa ramantaidd o'i hoff ffilm, ar lan y môr.
He would recreate the romantic scene from his favorite film, by the seaside.
Felly, penderfynodd wneud cynllun.
So, he decided to make a plan.
Hynny oeddech chi ymwneud â chan, dawns a pâr o gawr bêl-bêl ceffyl.
It involved singing, dancing, and a pair of giant beach balls.
Beth allai fynd o'i le?
What could go wrong?
Gwen oedd fwyaf swynol Dafydd erioed wedi ei gyfarfod.
Gwen was the most enchanting person Dafydd had ever met.
Roedd hi'n ymlaciol erioed a'i chwerthin oedd yr iachâd gorau i'w ddiffyg cymhlethdodau ef.
She was naturally relaxed, and her laughter was the best cure for his lack of confidence.
Ond doedd hi ddim yn gwybod am gynllun Dafydd; roedd hynny'n well ganddo.
But she didn't know about Dafydd's plan; he preferred it that way.
Cyrhaeddodd y diwrnod.
The day arrived.
Y glaw mân rhewi'r aer, a'r dail yn brathu wrth eu bwrw dan draed.
The fine rain chilled the air, and the leaves crunched underfoot.
Wrth sefyll ar y traeth, gwelodd Dafydd fod popeth yn barod.
While standing on the beach, Dafydd saw that everything was ready.
Canodd y gerddoriaeth yn y cefndir, a dechreuodd dawnsio.
Music played in the background, and he started to dance.
Yn anffodus, ymosododd gwynt cryf.
Unfortunately, a strong wind attacked.
Ei wenth o wallt yn gwibio o amgylch, taflodd ei chiwbiau plastig glas fel esgidiau hudol adre.
His hair flew wildly, and his blue plastic shoes, like magical slippers, were tossed home.
Roedd Gwen ar y llawr yn chwerthin, gweld Dafydd yn rhuthro ar ôl ei sgidiau, mewn gwaith campaidd na chrybwyllwyd mewn unrhyw ffilm.
Gwen was on the ground laughing, watching Dafydd rush after his shoes, in an athletic feat not mentioned in any film.
Ond nid poeni oedd Gwen mewn gwirionedd.
But Gwen wasn't really worried.
Roedd hi'n gweld y diolch i'r ymdrechion hael Dafydd, y brawddeg drwsnes 'Nes i weld fi'.
She appreciated Dafydd's generous effort, the awkward phrase 'I saw you.'
Yn rhyfeddol, gyda'r holl lanast, roedd yna hwyl.
Remarkably, despite all the chaos, there was fun.
Hwyl gwirioneddol a oedd wedi gadael Gwen mewn parên o chwerthin.
True fun that left Gwen in fits of laughter.
Roedd popeth oedd wedi mynd o'i le wedi creu diwrnod perffaith iddynt.
Everything that had gone wrong created a perfect day for them.
Nid ei gynllun, ond y gwirioneddoldeb rhwng nhw, oedd gwendid Dafydd.
It wasn't his plan, but the true connection between them that was Dafydd's strength.
"Diolch i ti, Dafydd," meddai Gwen gyda gwên.
"Thank you, Dafydd," Gwen said with a smile.
"Hwn oedd y diwrnod mwyaf cofionwy ar y dydd gwaethaf."
"This was the most memorable day on the worst day."
Wrth iddi lapio ei breichiau o amgylch ei fachgen trwsgl, sylweddolodd Dafydd fod mwy mewn gwirionedd mewn gweithredoedd syml a diffuant.
As she wrapped her arms around her clumsy guy, Dafydd realized there was more value in simple and genuine actions.
Iawn, doedd y gerddoriaeth ddim yn atseinio mewn canu perffaith, ac efallai nad oedd y dawns yr oedd ei dychmygu.
Sure, the music didn't echo in perfect harmony, and maybe the dance wasn't what he'd imagined.
Ond dysgodd Dafydd un wers bwysig: Roedd hi'n well i fod yn hunan gwirioneddol na cheisio byw ffilm ai bywyd.
But Dafydd learned one important lesson: it was better to be truly oneself than to try to live a movie-like life.
Roedd asaniadau Dafydd i bawb yn ddigonol.
Dafydd's efforts were enough for everyone.
Roedd Gwen wedi'i gweld.
Gwen saw him.
Roedd hynny'n ddigon.
That was enough.
