Rekindling Connections: Alys and Gareth's Journey
Ar ddiwedd y diwrnod hir, y gwynt yn chwythu'n fwyn drwy'r coed, roedd Alys yn cerdded ar hyd Bae Caerdydd.
At the end of the long day, the wind gently blowing through the trees, Alys was walking along Bae Caerdydd.
Llifir dail yr hydref o’i hamgylch, lliwiau oren a choch yn disgleirio yn yr haul.
Autumn leaves swirled around her, orange and red colors shimmering in the sun.
Roedd y bae yn llawn bywyd, pobl yn cerdded, yn siopa ac yn mwynhau coffi o’r caffis ger y lan.
The bay was full of life, people walking, shopping, and enjoying coffee from the cafes by the waterfront.
Roedd hi wedi bod yn blynyddoedd ers iddi weld Gareth.
It had been years since she had seen Gareth.
Roeddent wedi colli cysylltiad yn araf, bywyd cyflym yn ei dra-arglwyddiaethu.
They had gradually lost touch, fast-paced life taking its toll.
Alys, fel penseiri brwdfrydig, wedi plymio’n ddwfn i’w gwaith.
Alys, being an enthusiastic architect, had dived deeply into her work.
Ond roedd rhywbeth bob amser yn ei atgoffa hi o Gareth.
But something always reminded her of Gareth.
Ei chwerthin, ei syniadau gwyllt, ei gariad at gelf.
His laughter, his wild ideas, his love for art.
Mae hi wedi penderfynu ei bod eisiau gweld Gareth eto.
She had decided that she wanted to see Gareth again.
Y craidd, y cyfeillgarwch o'r blaen, efallai rhywbeth mwy.
The core, the friendship from before, maybe something more.
Roedd Gareth yn aros mewn caffi ger y dŵr.
Gareth was waiting in a cafe near the water.
Ei lygaid yn llawn hiraeth.
His eyes full of longing.
Pan welodd hi, gwenu eangudduch ei wyneb.
When he saw her, a wide smile spread across his face.
"Alys!" gwaeddodd Gareth, yn gwneud gest gyda’i ddwylo i’w galw draw.
"Alys!" Gareth shouted, gesturing with his hands to call her over.
"Esgusodwch fi, Gareth. Mae mor dda dy weld di," atebodd Alys, gan ddechrau sgwrs syml, yn ceisio cadw'r cyfarfod yn hyfryd a thawel.
"Excuse me, Gareth. It's so good to see you," replied Alys, starting a simple conversation, trying to keep the meeting pleasant and calm.
Siarad on nhw am hen amserau, am ddigwyddiadau’r ysgol, am lyfrau, am fywyd heddiw.
They talked about old times, about school events, about books, about life today.
Ond roedd Alys yn teimlo'r tensiwn.
But Alys felt the tension.
Roeddent ill dau wedi newid.
They had both changed.
"Beth am fynd ar daith ffordd, fel yn yr hen ddyddiau?" awgrymodd Gareth, ei lygaid yn llachar.
"How about going on a road trip, like the old days?" suggested Gareth, his eyes bright.
Daeth llwydni i wyneb Alys. "Iawn," meddai hi yn syfrdan, "ond mae’n rhaid i ni gymryd things yn araf."
A shadow came over Alys's face. "Alright," she said stunned, "but we have to take things slowly."
Yn sydyn, eu sgwrs yn troi’n ddadleuol.
Suddenly, their conversation turned into an argument.
Daeth y gwahaniaethau i’r wyneb.
The differences came to the forefront.
Gareth yn awyddus i daflu popeth i’r gwynt, a Alys yn gweld hynny'n rhy ffôl.
Gareth eager to throw everything to the wind, and Alys seeing that as too foolish.
Roedd y ddadl yn fyr, ond yn ddigon i adael distawrwydd i ddisgyn.
The argument was brief, but enough to let silence fall.
Ar ôl llawer o funudau tawelwch, edrychodd Gareth ar ei chyfaill hen, "Dw i ddim yn golygu cythraul. Rydw i eisiau cofio sut oeddem ni cythrel," llefarodd e'n dawel.
After many moments of silence, Gareth looked at his old friend, "I don't mean to cause trouble. I want to remember how we were," he spoke quietly.
Wedi chwilolau, gwenodd Alys, ymlacio a theimlo'n well.
After a moment of reflection, Alys smiled, relaxed, and felt better.
"Rydyn ni'n wahanol, Gareth, ond... mae’n iawn. Hoffwn ni ddal ati," meddai hi.
"We are different, Gareth, but... that's okay. I would like to keep in touch," she said.
Y pair bron oedd ganddynt yn magu gwres yn y distawrwydd cyfforddus.
The almost forgotten warmth between them grew in the comfortable silence.
Taflodd y dail amgylch nhw, a bu Alys a Gareth yn aros yn llonydd am foment.
Leaves swirled around them, and Alys and Gareth stood still for a moment.
Roedd rhywbeth yn amlwg: er eu gwahaniaethau, er eu llwybrau, roedd cysylltiad dal i fod.
Something was clear: despite their differences, despite their paths, a connection still existed.
A pharhaodd yr haul i ddechau dros gyd-ddal.
And the sun continued to set over their reunion.
