  • Yn nhref fach Aberteifi, yng nghanol y gaeaf, roedd gweithred leol ryfedd yn digwydd.

In the small town of Aberteifi, in the middle of winter, an unusual local activity was taking place.

  • Roedd y swyddfa'r heddlu yn brysur, dewin o weision, goleuadau lliwgar yn hongian uwchben, a choeden Nadolig fach yn disgleirio mewn cornel.

The police station was busy, full of bustling officers, colorful lights hanging above, and a small Christmas tree shining in the corner.

  • Roedd pawb ar gyfer amser agos at y Nadolig.

Everyone was gearing up for the holiday season.

  • Yn sydyn, drws y swyddfa yn agor ac i mewn cerddai Gareth, gŵr melys, golwg ar ei wyneb yn gwbl swrth.

Suddenly, the door of the office swung open, and in walked Gareth, a sweet man with a completely solemn look on his face.

  • "Gareth," meddai Dylan, y swyddog heddlu, gyda gwên, "beth sy'n dod â chi yma heddiw?"

"Gareth," said Dylan, the police officer, with a grin, "what brings you here today?"

  • Roedd Gareth, fynychwr cyfarwydd y ddinas, yn enwog am ei ochenaid ac am ei hoffter o straeon gwirion.

Gareth, a familiar figure around the town, was notorious for his sighs and his love of true stories.

  • Ond y dydd hwn, roedd ei wyneb yn llawn o benderfyniad.

But today, his face was filled with determination.

  • "Dwi 'ma i adrodd trosedd mawr," cyhoeddodd.

"I'm here to report a major crime," he announced.

  • Dechreuodd Siân, swyddog arall, chwerthin yn dawelu tra oedd hi'n ymgais i fod yn ddifrifol.

Siân, another officer, began to quietly laugh as she tried to be serious.

  • "Pa fath o drosedd, Gareth?"

    "What kind of crime, Gareth?"

  • "Ew," meddai Gareth, "mae'n ymwneud â fy nghath, Twnci."

"Well," said Gareth, "it's about my cat, Twnci."

  • Roedd Siân a Dylan yn edrych ar ei gilydd gyda sbectol annwyl a diddordeb llugoer.

Siân and Dylan exchanged looks with affectionate curiosity.

  • "Chi'n gweld," parhaodd Gareth, "Twnci sy'n gyfrifol am ddwyn fy nhwrci Nadolig."

"You see," Gareth continued, "Twnci is responsible for stealing my Christmas turkey."

  • Ar yr erthygl yma, cyfnewidiodd golwg Dylan i ddryswch llwyr.

At this piece of information, Dylan exchanged a look of utter confusion.

  • "Sut mae cath yn dwyn twrci cyfan, Gareth?"

"How does a cat steal an entire turkey, Gareth?"

  • "A, mae'n rhaid i chi ddeall!

    "Ah, you have to understand!

  • Roeddwn i'n cicio'r twrci i ddadmer ar y cegin pan aeth Twnci â'i ffyn yn ofalus a’i lusgo ar hyd y llawr wrth i mi droi fy nghefn!"

I was thawing the turkey in the kitchen when Twnci carefully nudged it and dragged it across the floor while I turned my back!"

  • Roedd Siân, er mwyn ei chadw'n ddifrifol, yn llwyddo i smygio anerchiad o'r tablais.

Siân, in an effort to remain serious, managed to stifle a fit of giggles.

  • Roedd pawb yn y swyddfa yn gwrando'n awgrymog.

Everyone in the office was listening with intrigue.

  • Toc, dechreuodd iechyd chwerthin geddi'r swyddfa gyfan.

Soon, laughter echoed throughout the entire station.

  • "Beth hoffech chi i ni ei wneud am hyn?" gofynnodd Dylan mewn trylwyredd bywiog, yn dal i geisio cadw'n broffesiynol.

"What would you like us to do about this?" asked Dylan with lively thoroughness, still trying to remain professional.

  • "Rhaid i rywbeth gael ei wneud," meddai Gareth yn daer.

"Something has to be done," said Gareth earnestly.

  • "Mae'n rhaid i mi amddiffyn fy nhwrci nesaf cyn Nadolig."

"I must protect my next turkey before Christmas."

  • Siaradodd Siân yn ddilys ac yn feddylgar.

    Siân spoke with genuine thoughtfulness.

  • "Beth am fesurisyrio bach o syniadau.

"How about a small measure of ideas?

  • Beth am fod Twnci ddim yn meddu ar yr allwg i gyrraedd eich darpar seigiau teulu?"

How about making sure Twnci doesn't have access to your future family meals?"

  • Sylweddolodd Gareth y gallai wrthyn wneud hynny.

Gareth realized he could do just that.

  • Er bod y syniad yn chwerthinllyd, teimlai cariad tuag at Twnci a’u digwyddiadau diddiwedd.

Although the idea was laughable, he felt affection for Twnci and their endless antics.

  • Casglai’r ymchwiliad a gwelodd lawer o hwiangerdd o’i natur a’i emosiynau.

The investigation concluded with plenty of heartwarming laughter and reflection.

  • Yn cael gwybod a chwerthin gyda Dylan a Siân, gadawodd Gareth y swyddfa gyda llwybr newydd o feddwl am y fath gam.

Leaving the station, feeling enlightened and amused, Gareth had a new perspective on such mischief.

  • Dywedodd gyda gwên, "Waeth beth fydd, byddai fy mho oedd hi'n brysur ar gyfer rhywun fel Twnci!"

He said with a smile, "No matter what happens, it's a busy time for someone like Twnci!"

  • A phan orffennodd wythnos Nadolig drosodd, trafodwyd y digwyddiad polis.i guddiedig fel gwers gan Gareth, yn ddigon da i weldig cystadleuaeth y dyfodol.

And when the Christmas week was over, Gareth treated the hidden police incident as a lesson, valuable enough to consider for any future challenges.

  • Roedd hyn ond gydwybod sobor ar y Nadolig i ddod, lle’r oedd yn rhaid iddo daro ei lwc a’i le i sicrhau bod ei wledd yn parhau.

It was just a sober reminder for the upcoming Christmas, where he would have to rely on luck and wit to ensure his feast continued.

  • Roedd pawb yn falch.

    Everyone was delighted.

  • Roedd Twnci yn dal yn anhygoel ac roedd Gareth wedi dysgu drafod y llwyr deallwyth mewn ffordd ymagweddol.

Twnci was still remarkable, and Gareth had learned to handle the whimsical chaos in an imaginative way.

  • Ac am hynny dim ond un ffordd oedd, na fyddai yn colli unrhyw borth tra lechu mwy nag un twrci ar ei frest.

And for that, there was only one way—no more sneaking around with more than one turkey on his watch.
