  • Yn ngofod y gaeaf, roedd gwynt oer yn chwythu drwy'r coed pinwydd wrth i Eira a Gethin gerdded tuag at amgueddfa'r castell.

In the winter air, a cold wind was blowing through the pine trees as Eira and Gethin walked towards the castle museum.

  • Byddai'r castell, gyda'i waliau cerrig hen a thrydan o oleuadau Nadolig, yn leoliad perffaith ar gyfer agoriad yr arddangosfa thema gwyliau.

The castle, with its old stone walls and a blaze of Christmas lights, would be the perfect location for the holiday-themed exhibition opening.

  • Roedd Eira yn llawn cyffro.

    Eira was full of excitement.

  • Roedd arluniaeth ac hanes yn llawer mwy na hobi iddi; roeddent yn bren ffyniant ei henaid.

Art and history were much more than a hobby for her; they were the fuel of her soul's prosperity.

  • "Edrych ar y goleuadau!" meddai Eira, ei llais yn llawn hyfrydwch bob cam.

"Look at the lights!" said Eira, her voice full of delight with every step.

  • "Gobeithiaf y bydd y paentiadau yn fyw fel hyn."

"I hope the paintings are as alive as this."

  • Gethin pwdiodd ychydig yn ôl, ei draed yn swrth yn cerdded ar draws yr iard dywyll.

Gethin sulked a little, his feet dragging across the dark courtyard.

  • "Dwi'n yma drostot ti, cofia," meddai, ei lais yn isel.

"I'm here for you, remember," he said, his voice low.

  • Roedd Eira yn deall ei anfodlonrwydd.

    Eira understood his reluctance.

  • Roedd yn gwybod fod angen cyffwrdd rhywle personol i ennyn ei ddiddordeb.

She knew it needed a personal touch to spark his interest.

  • Wrth iddyn nhw gamu i mewn i'r neuadd, roedd eu llygaid wedi eu denu at arddangosfa o luniau o olygfeydd gaeafol Cymreig.

As they stepped into the hall, their eyes were drawn to an exhibition of pictures of Welsh winter scenes.

  • Roedd rhai yn dangos bwthynod dan eira, eraill â mynyddoedd trwchus gyda chwrs afon yn mynd drwyddynt - pob un yn adlewyrchu artistiaid gwych Cymru.

Some showed cottages under snow, others with thick mountains with a river course running through them - each reflecting the great artists of Wales.

  • Roedd Eira yn arwain Gethin tuag at baentiad oedd yn annwyl iddi ers blynyddoedd.

Eira led Gethin towards a painting that had been dear to her for years.

  • "Edrych, Gethin," meddai'n dawel, "Cofia'r un hwn?

"Look, Gethin," she said quietly, "Do you remember this one?

  • Roeddem yn gweld hwn yn ein hieuenctid, pan oeddem yn ysgol.

We used to see this in our youth when we were in school.

  • Dost ti ddim yn cofio sut roedd hynny'n gwneud i ti deimlo?"

Don't you remember how it made you feel?"

  • Gethin sefyll, ei lygaid yn canolbwyntio ar yr hen lun.

Gethin stood still, his eyes focusing on the old picture.

  • Roedd y delweddau'n dechrau symud yn ei gof.

The images began to move in his memory.

  • Disgynnai chwerthin eu hieuenctid yn ol iddo, gyda dyddiau hirion yr haf wedi'u treulio'n rhydd o bryder yr oed diwethaf.

The laughter of their youth fell back on him, with long summer days spent free from the worries of later years.

  • Am ychydig, roedd berswâd Eira wedi cyrraedd ei nod.

For a moment, Eira's persuasion had reached its goal.

  • "Alla i ddim rhoi’r gorau iddi, unrhyw ffordd," cyfaddefodd Gethin yn dawel.

"I can't give it up, anyway," Gethin admitted quietly.

  • "Mae rhywbeth gennyf i’w ddweud... Roedd amseroedd anodd arnaf i yn ddiweddar.

"There's something I need to say... I've had tough times recently.

  • Teimlais fy mod wedi colli cysylltiad â fy ngwreiddiau."

I felt I lost touch with my roots."

  • Eira edrychodd arno'n dosturiol, deall ei boen.

Eira looked at him sympathetically, understanding his pain.

  • "Mae'r gorffennol wastad gyda ni, Gethin.

"The past is always with us, Gethin.

  • Wnaethon ni byth yn colli hynny mewn gwirionedd.

    We never really lost that.

  • Gallem ei ddarganfod eto."

    We can rediscover it."

  • Gyda'r eira'n raddol blygu dan y goleuadau sieraidd, daeth Gethin i ddeall bod ei gysylltiad â diwylliant a hanes nid yn unig yn storïau hen ond hefyd yn bont i flaenoriaethu bywyd.

With the snow gently bowing under the serene lights, Gethin came to understand that his connection to culture and history was not just in old stories but also a bridge to prioritizing life.

  • Wrth iddynt adael yr amgueddfa, mae Eira yn teimlo balchder o dan y goleuadau tawelu a chyda naws o obaith cyflawnwych yng ngweithi'r gaeaf.

As they left the museum, Eira felt pride under the calming lights and with a sense of hopeful fulfillment in the works of winter.

  • "Able mae bywyd yn anodd, mae heddychaeth yn dod trwy gysylltiad," meddai Eira.

"When life is difficult, peace comes through connection," said Eira.

  • Gwrandawodd Gethin, ac am y tro cyntaf mewn amser hir, teimlodd wres a cymorth unwaith eto.

Gethin listened, and for the first time in a long while, he felt warmth and support once again.
