  • Gareth oedd yn cyrraedd Maes Awyr Rhyngwladol Caerdydd.

Gareth was arriving at Maes Awyr Rhyngwladol Caerdydd (Cardiff International Airport).

  • Roedd ei galon yn curo cyflym wrth iddo weld yr oriel cynnal.

His heart was beating fast as he saw the departure lounge.

  • Roedd y mae awyr yn llawn pobl â phacedi anrhegion Nadolig, ceisio dal awyrendy i gwrdd â'u hanwyliaid.

The airport was full of people with Christmas gift packages, trying to catch flights to meet their loved ones.

  • Yng nghornel y neuadd a gweld Gareth sefyll, ticed yn ei law, yn edrych yn ypset ac yn ansicr.

In the corner of the hall, Gareth stood, ticket in hand, looking upset and uncertain.

  • Cwpl o lwybrau pell yn sefyll dwy arwydd: "Hefydgwneud" a "Canslo".

A couple of lanes stood under two signs: "Hefydgwneud" (Also Proceed) and "Canslo" (Cancel).

  • Nadolig oedd prysurach nag arfer.

    Christmas was busier than usual.

  • Roedd tymor y gaeaf gyda chymylau trwm a hen liddi o eira yn creu cymhlethodau ar gyfugliawn.

The winter season, with heavy clouds and a faint cover of snow, was causing complications on the roads.

  • Cymrodd Gareth ddogn o aer ac aeth at Carys.

Gareth took a breath of air and went to Carys.

  • Roedd Carys, gweithwraig y maes awyr, yn ymateb ac yn estyn help llaw.

Carys, the airport attendant, responded and offered a helping hand.

  • Mae newydd glywed manylion am ddiwygio awyrendy.

She had just heard details about a flight delay.

  • "Gareth?" gofynnodd hi.

    "Gareth?" she asked.

  • "Sut alla i helpu?"

    "How can I help?"

  • "Roeddwn i'n gobeithio dal awyrendy i fynd adref am y Nadolig," meddai Gareth gyda golwg wan.

"I was hoping to catch a flight to go home for Christmas," Gareth said with a weak look.

  • "Mae fy ngwyliau i laydiedig yma."

"My holidays have been delayed here."

  • Carys gwenu'n dyner, "Gwelaf ti'n ceisio'ch gorau.

Carys smiled gently, "I see you’re trying your best.

  • Mae un llawer gormod o bobl yn y maes awyr heno.

There are far too many people in the airport tonight.

  • Ond, gallwch aros am le wrthgyfer."

But you can wait for a standby spot."

  • Gareth oedd yn dewis.

Gareth had a choice to make.

  • Aros neu ffeindio ffordd arall?

    Wait or find another way?

  • Ynganiodd y clyw boeth o alawon Nadolig, sŵn pobl yn siarad, a thraed yn gweld unig curiad ei galon.

The warm sounds of Christmas carols, the chatter of people, and footsteps echoed, reminding him of his heart's lonely beat.

  • Llwyddodd amser i aros yn hir.

    Time managed to linger long.

  • Carys dychwelodd, llygadyn gyda newyddion newyddion.

Carys returned, eyes alight with fresh news.

  • "Mae sedd wedi bod ar gael.

    "A seat has come available.

  • Ond nid yw'n sicr."

    But it's not certain."

  • Gwneud y gorau o'r sefyllfa, roedd yna gryfder newydd yn llygad Gareth.

Making the best of the situation, there was a new strength in Gareth's eyes.

  • Roedd yn diolchgar am gyfle.

He was grateful for the opportunity.

  • Roedd braidd yn siapus nawr.

    He was somewhat hopeful now.

  • Gweld iddi Carys trwy ystod torfddig am y giat i'r sedd olaf hyny.

He spotted Carys through the bustling crowd to the last available seat.

  • Gyda llawenedd a gobaith newydd iddi, cyrhaeddodd Gareth awyrendy.

With newfound joy and hope, Gareth boarded the flight.

  • Roedd yn esgyn hwmwgl y golau i'r argaeanau nos.

It ascended softly into the night skies.

  • Cyffrodd fel roedd cariad ac hafan ei deulu o fewn cyrhaeddiad.

There was a thrill as the love and haven of his family were within reach.

  • Ym mhen draw'r awyrendy roedd Carys yn brasgamu dros y gynau nes yn gynnar ddiddiwedd.

At the other end of the flight, Carys walked briskly through the corridors as if endlessly early.

  • Trenodd golau y math hael barnach yr aoedd iddi.

The light shone a more generous glow over her presence.

  • Wyt'r swrth-felyn yn noddir. Roedd hi wir wedi helpu Gareth i adroi at ei deulu am y Nadolig.

She had truly helped Gareth return to his family for Christmas.

  • Tybiodd nad oedd rhaid gwyrth.

She thought that a miracle wasn't needed.

  • Ond weithiau, mae rhywbeth yn gosod twych golau newydd yn ein bywyd.

But sometimes, something casts a new light in our lives.
