Mae diwrnod newydd wedi codi dros Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri, lle mae mynyddoedd tal a dyffrynnoedd dwfn yn gwisgo mantell eira gwintryd.

A new day has dawned over Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri, where tall mountains and deep valleys wear a mantle of wintry snow.

Mae eira'n disgleirio fel diemwntau dan yr haul gwan, tra bod gwynt oer y gaeaf yn chwibian drwy'r cefn gwlad.

The snow glistens like diamonds under the weak sun, while the cold winter wind whistles through the countryside.

Ar y llwybr cerdded serth, mae Gwion a Branwen yn rhuthro trwy'r tirwedd.

On the steep walking path, Gwion and Branwen hurry through the landscape.

Gwion yw'r hen ffrind gofalus, wrth ei un i lawr i archwilio'r dirgel.

Gwion is the cautious old friend, eager to explore the unknown.

Mae Branwen yn dilyn, heb ofn, yn chwilio am unrhyw grebachiad cudd neu dirgelwch newydd i ddatrys.

Branwen follows, unafraid, searching for any hidden nooks or new mysteries to solve.

They have been led to this spot by news of the strange disappearance of one of their fellow walkers.

“Mae'n rhaid i ni’i ddod,” meddai Gwion, ei lygaid yn rhybuddio’r tywyllwch sydd o'u blaen mewn ambell dwll neu gysgod.

“We have to find them,” says Gwion, his eyes warning of the darkness ahead in occasional holes or shadows.

The day is shortening.

The cruel wind tests Gwion's confidence, but he feels a responsibility towards his friend.

The mountains, silent but filled with secrets, have witnessed thousands of years.

One was lost in the cloud of snow, and Gwion and Branwen are the brave ones to take on the challenge.

Ar un pwynt, mae cerddoriaeth dydoli yn eu harwain; mae'n murmur purell o ddefnydd sy'n darllen fel chwedl coll i fyd arall.

At one point, mystical music guides them; it whispers a melody of a material that reads like a lost legend to another world.

Further into the forest, Gwion feels the gravity of his decision—a desire not to break.

Suddenly, they come upon an opening to a cave sheltered from the wind.

“Dyma’r lle,” dywed Gwion yn dwt, yn ysgwyd eira oddi ar ei gôt.

“This is the place,” Gwion says shortly, shaking snow from his coat.

Maent yn darganfod eu cyd-ddrwyr, yn gorwedd cynnes mewn cwrlid eira sydd fel clawr cadeirio.

They discover their fellow traveler, lying warm in a snow blanket like a protective cloak.

“Diolch, chi odd yr un arwaith,” meddai'r drwoddwr colledig.

“Thank you, you were the guide,” says the lost hiker.

Mae ei lais yn wan ond yn ddiolchgar.

His voice is weak but grateful.

Roedd wedi bod yn trawiad, ond heb allu canfod ffordd yn ôl, roedd wedi llithro i'r ogof yma pan gododd yr eira'n drwch.

He had been surprised and unable to find his way back, slipping into this cave when the snow thickened.

Gyda chymorth ei ffrindiau newydd, mae Gwion yn teimlo newid yn ei galon.

With the help of his new friends, Gwion feels a change in his heart.

The wild students result from the clarity of their cause.

At the sanctuary, the day bends, but their hearts are full of warmth as they leave the mystery behind, strengthened by the bond formed between them.

On their path across Eryri, a hopeful breeze leaps happily over the hills, while the quietness around is very calm, even far from any land they had been before.
