  • Gydag addewid o wanwyn yn llif drwy awyr uchel Eryri, roedd Emrys yn teimlo pwysau’r amser yn pwyso ar ei feddwl.

With the promise of spring flowing through the high skies of Snowdonia, Emrys felt the weight of time pressing on his mind.

  • Roedd Nos Galan Mai ar y gorwel, a doedd ganddo ddim rhodd i’w chyflwyno i’w nain.

May Eve was on the horizon, and he had no gift to present to his grandmother.

  • Yn drysu a phryderus, cerddodd Emrys i Ganolfan Ymwelwyr Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri, lle'r oedd yr adar yn canu a rhainoglau’r mynydd yn ffrindiau awyr agored.

Confused and anxious, Emrys walked to the Snowdonia National Park Visitor Center, where the birds sang and the mountain rhododendrons were outdoor companions.

  • Roedd Emrys yn gwybod bod angen rhodd arbennig.

Emrys knew he needed a special gift.

  • Roedd ei nain yn caru traddodiadau Cymreig, ac roedd hi’n dymuno dathliad i’w chalon.

His grandmother loved Welsh traditions, and she desired a celebration to her heart.

  • Wrth fynd i mewn i’r ganolfan, glywodd Emrys lais llon a chroesawgar.

As he entered the center, Emrys heard a cheerful and welcoming voice.

  • "Sut alla’i helpu di heddiw?

"How can I help you today?"

  • " gofynnodd Carys, gan ddod ato o ystafell dyner o grefftau lleol a llyfrau am chwedlau Cymru.

asked Carys, approaching him from a tender room of local crafts and books about Welsh legends.

  • "Mae angen help arnaf," cyfaddefodd Emrys, ei lais yn chwithig.

"I need help," Emrys admitted, his voice awkward.

  • "Hoffwn i anrheg sy’n pwysleisio ein treftadaeth i’n nain.

"I'd like a gift that emphasizes our heritage for my grandmother."

  • "Roedd Carys, yn enwog am ei gwybodaeth am arferion Cymreig, yn gwenu’n gynnes.

Carys, famous for her knowledge of Welsh customs, smiled warmly.

  • "Peidiwch â phoeni, mae gen i syniad," meddai’n dawel.

"Don't worry, I have an idea," she said calmly.

  • Dangosodd y silffoedd wedi’u stwffio i Emrys, yn cynnwys cynhyrchion gan grefftwyr lleol.

She showed Emrys the stuffed shelves, containing products from local craftsmen.

  • Ond, nid oedd dim yn taro’r tant iawn.

But nothing struck the right chord.

  • Wrth i oriau hedfan, roedd siomedigaeth yn cynyddu.

As hours flew by, disappointment grew.

  • Ond nid oedd Carys yn ildio.

Yet Carys did not give up.

  • "Beth am wneud cynnwys arbennig?

    "How about creating something special?"

  • " awgrymodd hi’n sydyn.

    she suddenly suggested.

  • "Rydyn ni’n gallu cyfuno nodweddion o draddodiadau Cymru.

"We can combine features of Welsh traditions."

  • "Llygadodd Emrys disgyblion llachar.

    Emrys' eyes brightened with recognition.

  • "Byddai hynny’n berffaith.

    "That would be perfect."

  • "Gyda’i chymorth, creodd Emrys fasged yn cynnwys darnau o bethau hammal, lluniau teuluog a phympiau o’r mynydd.

With her help, Emrys created a basket containing pieces of trinkets, family photos, and mountain blooms.

  • Cafwyd llinyn lliwgar i’r pwytho, a thynerwch ysbryd rhai sy’n gwneud y gorau o’r hyn sydd ganddynt.

A colorful string was added for stitching, embodying the tenderness of those who make the best of what they have.

  • Pan fyddai’r basked yn gyflawn, edrychodd Emrys yn hapus ar ei waith.

When the basket was complete, Emrys looked at his work with happiness.

  • Roedd yr ysbryd Cymreig wedi’i fachu yno, fel colomen yn fflapio ar y cangen.

The Welsh spirit was captured there, like a dove fluttering on a branch.

  • Yn symud eto tuag adref, teimlai Emrys balchder na wyddai fod yn bod o’r blaen.

Moving back home, Emrys felt a pride he didn't know existed before.

  • Noson fel Nos Galan Mai, lle roedd y lleuad yn frith, cyflwynodd Emrys y basked i’w nain.

On a night like May Eve, with the moon glistening, Emrys presented the basket to his grandmother.

  • Roedd hi’n syfrdanu, ei llygaid yn llenwi â dagrau hapus.

She was astonished, her eyes filling with happy tears.

  • "Diolch, Emrys annwyl," llefodd hi’n dosturiol.

"Thank you, dear Emrys," she exclaimed tenderly.

  • Ar y funud honno, roedd Emrys yn deall ei fod wedi dal yr hanfod o’r hyn a wnaeth ei gymuned mor annwyl iddo.

At that moment, Emrys understood he had captured the essence of what made his community so dear to him.

  • Roedd y noson honno’n newid y ffordd roedd yn gweld ei hun a’i orffennol, ac addawodd i ddangos mwy o barch ac ymroddiad at yr etifeddiaeth Gymreig o’r blaen.

That night changed how he saw himself and his past, and he promised to show more respect and dedication to the Welsh heritage from then on.

  • A phan aeth y cylch o’r nos i’r dydd, roedd Emrys yn gwybod nad oedd yn dimentio mwyach, ond yn ymdeimlo â’i ddiwylliant, yn gyfeillgar ac yn falch o’i wreiddiau.

And when the cycle of night turned to day, Emrys knew he no longer hesitated but embraced his culture, friendly and proud of his roots.

  • Roedd Nos Galan Mai wedi dod â goleuni newydd nid yn unig i fyd natur, ond hefyd i’w galon ifanc.

May Eve had brought new light not only to the natural world but also to his young heart.
