Yn ardal bryniau isel Caerdydd, rhwng tai cyfagos gyda gerddi llawn lliw, roedd cymdogion yn byw agos iawn at ei gilydd.
In the area of the low hills of Caerdydd, between neighboring houses with gardens full of color, neighbors lived very close to each other.
Roedd y gwanwyn wedi dod â blodau'n blodeuo, ac roedd yr awyr yn llawn aroglau melys.
Spring had brought blooming flowers, and the air was full of sweet scents.
Yn y stryd ddistaw honno, roeddwn i’n gynhesu bywydau Gwyneth ac Emrys.
On that quiet street, I was warming the lives of Gwyneth and Emrys.
Gwyneth oedd bennaeth ei gardd.
Gwyneth was the head of her garden.
Roedd yn drysor i'r lady, pob lili a thiwlip wedi'i osod yn berffaith.
It was a treasure to the lady, every lily and tulip perfectly arranged.
Ar ochr arall y ffens, roedd Emrys, dyn tawel gyda golwg ar gymodi a gwahân.
On the other side of the fence was Emrys, a quiet man with a look of reconciliation and separation.
Roeddent yn wych i gyd, tan i bynciau ffiniau ddod i'r wyneb.
They were all great until boundary topics came to the fore.
Ar ddiwrnod o law mân, Gwyneth sylwais bod Emrys wedi dechrau nodi'r ffin rhwng eu tai.
On a day of light rain, Gwyneth noticed that Emrys had started marking the boundary between their houses.
Roedd y marc hwn yn golygu symud ffens sydd, yn amlwg i Gwyneth, yn tresmasu ar ei blodau hyfryd.
This mark implied moving a fence that, clearly to Gwyneth, trespassed on her lovely flowers.
Roedd ganddi lygaid yn llosgi wrth gweld ei blodau yn cael eu colli a dechreuodd ofidio.
Her eyes were burning as she saw her flowers being lost, and she began to worry.
"Emrys!
"Emrys!"
" galwai Gwyneth, yn sefyll ar ben grisiau ei mathwy.
called Gwyneth, standing at the top of her garden steps.
"Rhaid i ni siarad am y llinell ffin yma.
"We need to talk about this boundary line.
Mae'n ddryslyd!
It's confusing!"
"Emrys daeth ymlaen yn dawel, ei wyneb yn glycoli eira.
Emrys came forward quietly, his face as calm as snow.
"Mae'r mesurau'n dangos bod y marc yma yn gywir.
"The measurements show this mark is correct.
Mae angen adeiladu'r ffens.
The fence needs to be built."
"Roedd eu geiriau'n cychwyn teimladau blin.
Their words sparked angry feelings.
Pethau sydd unwaith wedi bod yn heddychlon, nawr tan ddŵr dros y ffin.
Things that were once peaceful now overflowed across the boundary.
Un diwrnod, Gwyneth penderfynodd.
One day, Gwyneth decided.
Roedd yn gyson, yr angen am ddogfennau.
She was determined, the need for documents.
Roedd yn chwilio am y plot yn y cyngor, yn achub pob dystiolaeth.
She searched for the plot at the council, gathering every piece of evidence.
Nid oedd yn newydd i brwydr, ond trwyn i ddrama.
She wasn't new to battles, but she was not a fan of drama.
Gan deimlo'r pwysau, penderfynodd Emrys ffeilio cwyn swyddogol.
Feeling the pressure, Emrys decided to file an official complaint.
Gwnaeth hynny mewn trefn, er mwyn cael popeth yn black a gwyn.
He did so in order, to have everything in black and white.
Wrth i'r ddadl poethi, daeth cymylau mawr.
As the argument heated, big clouds came.
Roedd gwenith y gwanwyn yn disgyn ddim ond yn rhemp, trasfwrdd cyfnod yn gorlifo'r strydoedd a gerddi eu cymuned.
The spring wheat fell only in torrents, a period of flood overflowing the streets and gardens of their community.
"Gofal!
"Watch out!"
" Gwaeddodd Emrys, gan weld y cawod yn dod.
shouted Emrys, seeing the shower coming.
"Dewch o hyd yma!
"Come over here!"
" Dywedodd a gwnaeth lle i Gwyneth o dan bwalcwd y drws ffrynt.
he said and made room for Gwyneth under the front door awning.
Ac felly, y ddau wrth eu hochr, doedden nhw ddim llwgu mewn cyddot synhwyraidd.
And so, the two beside each other, they were not starved in a sensory unity.
Wrth i'r glaw redeg yn rhês, doedd dim iaith sydd yn cyfrannu at y sgwrs rhyngddynt.
As the rain ran in lines, there was no language that contributed to the conversation between them.
Maen nhw'n siarad, yn ymddiheuro, ac yn clywed eu hanghenion.
They talked, apologized, and listened to their needs.
Cawsant dros y rhwystrau, gael cymdu a llawer am gymdogaeth.
They got over the obstacles, found camaraderie, and much for the neighborhood.
"Dw i'n ymddiheuro, Emrys," meddai Gwyneth yn y diwedd, " roedd yna le i'r ddau o ni yn ein gardd.
"I'm sorry, Emrys," said Gwyneth in the end, "there was room for both of us in our garden."
"Emrys gweniodd.
Emrys smiled.
"Beth am i ni ailblannu'r blodau yma gyda'n gilydd yn yr Ŵyl Pasg?
"How about we replant the flowers here together for Ŵyl Pasg?
Mae'n amser perffaith i adfywio.
It's the perfect time to renew."
"Gwenau batrus daeth ar wyneb Gwyneth.
A tentative smile came across Gwyneth's face.
"Byddaf yn hoffi hynny iawn.
"I would really like that."
"Felly, treuliodd Pasg mewn partneriaeth, law a llaw, trwy garu’r blodau newydd i lawr i'r ddaear.
So, they spent Pasg in partnership, hand in hand, nurturing the new flowers into the ground.
Roedd Dafydd, merch Emrys, yno hefyd yn dod â llawenydd ifanc i'r gweithgaredd.
Dafydd, Emrys's daughter, was there too, bringing youthful joy to the activity.
Trwy adfer cymdogiaeth, dysgwyd gwersi go iawn.
Through restoring neighborhood, real lessons were learned.
Deallodd Gwyneth y pwysigrwydd o weld o ochrorau eraill, ac roedd Emrys yn sylwi ar bwysigrwydd cadw perthynas gymdogaeth.
Gwyneth realized the importance of seeing from other sides, and Emrys acknowledged the importance of maintaining neighborhood relationships.
Ac gyda hynny, rhwng blodau a chloddiau, roeddent yn adeiladu peirianwaith newydd—achos, i bob pwrpas, roedd y cymdogion yr un ddarn arni.
And with that, between flowers and hedges, they built a new mechanism—because, in every sense, the neighbors were one piece on it.
Y gynnesau'r gwanwyn wedi'u hadnewyddu, roedd teimladau'n lleddfu, yn yr unrhyw barhad, yn ardal fechan braf o Gaerdydd.
The renewed warmth of spring soothed feelings in this small pleasant area of Caerdydd.
