A Chaotic Train Station Encounter
Lars hurried along the platform at Copenhagen Central Station.
He only had a few minutes left before the train would depart.
Han vidste godt, at han skulle have været afsted lidt tidligere, men morgenen havde bare været så kaotisk.
He knew he should have left a little earlier, but the morning had just been so chaotic.
On his way to his track, he could hear the train whistle in the distance.
Han blev panisk og begyndte at løbe.
He panicked and started running.
Uheldigvis var Lars ikke helt vågen endnu.
Unfortunately, Lars wasn't fully awake yet.
He didn't get a proper look at himself, and before he knew it, he bumped into a young woman named Sofie.
They both lost their balance and stumbled around before finally falling to the ground - in a somewhat comical way.
Det skabte en stor opstandelse på perronen.
It created a great commotion on the platform.
The people around couldn't help but burst into fits of laughter.
Lars felt quite embarrassed, but his shame was quickly replaced by laughter.
He couldn't help but laugh along with them.
Sofie, derimod, blev mere og mere irriteret.
Sofie, on the other hand, became more and more irritated.
"Nå, hvorfor er vi begge så klodsede?"
"Well why are we both so clumsy?"
laughed Lars and tried to help Sofie back to her feet.
Sofie looked at him with a slightly annoyed smile.
"Maybe because we're both more busy catching our trains than looking after each other," she said, accepting his help.
They hurried to their feet, and Lars could see that his train would leave in a few seconds.
"Sorry, I have to run on," he said, smiling apologetically at Sofie before sprinting off towards the train.
Sofie called after him, "I hope you make it!"
og så forsvandt Lars om hjørnet.
and then Lars disappeared around the corner.
Sofie stood alone on the platform and stared into the air.
Hun kunne stadigvæk høre folks latter i baggrunden.
She could still hear people's laughter in the background.
Hun begyndte også at smile.
She started to smile too.
Det var en sjov og uforglemmelig oplevelse.
It was a fun and unforgettable experience.
Although she didn't get to say goodbye to Lars, she really hoped he caught his train.
As the days passed, Sofie slowly forgot about the episode with Lars.
But then one day, sitting at the same train station waiting for her train, she couldn't stop thinking about him.
She wondered how he must be feeling at this time of day.
If he was in a place where people could make him laugh too.
Just as she was about to fall into her thoughts, Lars suddenly stood right in front of her with a big smile.
"Undskyld, hvis jeg forstyrrer.
"Sorry to disturb you.
But I happened to be on the same train as you today.
Må jeg sætte mig her?"
May I sit here?"
Sofie blev overrasket og glad.
Sofie was surprised and happy.
"Selvfølgelig!"
"Of course!"
she replied and moved her bag a little so that Lars could sit next to her.
De begyndte at snakke om alt muligt.
They started talking about everything.
They laughed about the day they bumped into each other and fell on the platform.
Lars explained that he actually made it to his train that day and thanked Sofie for helping him get up.
The train ride flew by and the two discovered they had a lot in common.
When they reached their destination, they still had plenty to talk about.
"So, maybe we could meet another day?"
asked Lars, looking at Sofie with a hopeful smile.
Sofie nodded and replied with a big smile: "Yes, we actually could.
Jeg tror, det kunne blive sjovt."
I think it could be fun."
And then they went their separate ways, but this time with joy in their hearts and a new exciting beginning ahead.
