In a deep forest, far away from the towns of Jutland, stood a small cabin.

Around the cabin, there were tall trees stretching their branches towards the sky.

Jakob, Signe, and Mikkel were on summer vacation in this cabin.

They had been looking forward to a break from everyday life, but their holiday took an unexpected turn.

One morning, Mikkel found an old chest in the corner of the cabin.

  • Han løftede låget forsigtigt.

    He lifted the lid carefully.

  • Indeni lå en skrøbelig rulle papir.

Inside was a fragile roll of paper.

  • "Se, en skattekort!"

    "Look, a treasure map!"

  • råbte Mikkel begejstret.

    Mikkel shouted excitedly.

  • Jakob og Signe kom løbende.

    Jakob and Signe came running.

The map showed a path through the forest to a spot marked with a red "X".

  • Skattekortet?

    A treasure map?

  • Jakob, altid klar til eventyr, tog kortet.

Jakob, always ready for adventure, took the map.

"We must find the treasure," he said with a smile.

  • Signe kiggede på ham med bekymrede øjne.

Signe looked at him with worried eyes.

  • "Er det klogt?"

    "Is it wise?"

  • spurgte hun.

    she asked.

  • Mikkel grinede.

    Mikkel laughed.

  • "Kom nu, Signe.

    "Come on, Signe.

  • Hvor svært kan det være?"

    How hard can it be?"

  • De begyndte deres rejse ind i skoven.

They started their journey into the forest.

The sun's rays shone through the treetops, creating beautiful patterns on the ground.

But after some time, the forest began to get darker and denser.

  • Jakob mærkede sit hjerte banke hurtigt.

Jakob felt his heart beating rapidly.

He was afraid of the dark, but he said nothing.

  • Pludselig hørte de en lyd bag sig.

Suddenly, they heard a sound behind them.

  • "Hvad var det?"

    "What was that?"

  • hviskede Signe nervøst.

    Signe whispered nervously.

They looked around and saw a shadow moving quickly among the trees.

  • "Vi er ikke alene," sagde Mikkel stille.

"We are not alone," Mikkel said quietly.

  • De fortsatte hurtigt fremad og fulgte kortet.

They continued forward quickly, following the map.

  • Hele tiden vidste de, at nogen fulgte efter dem.

All the time, they knew someone was following them.

After an hour's walk, they came to an open spot.

In front of them was a tree, marked on the map.

  • "Det må være her," sagde Jakob.

"This must be it," said Jakob.

  • Men før de kunne begynde at grave, dukkede deres forfølger op.

But before they could start digging, their pursuer appeared.

A tall man with a hood stepped forward.

  • "Skattekortet er mit," sagde han vredt.

"The treasure map is mine," he said angrily.

Jakob, Signe, and Mikkel stood close together, unsure of what to do.

Mikkel, who always had a joke ready, said, "If you want it, you'll have to catch us first!"

Signe gave Jakob a nod, and they started running around the tree, confusing the man.

Jakob mustered his courage and grabbed a large branch.

He threw the branch at the man's feet, and the man stumbled.

This gave them time to find the treasure.

They dug quickly and found a chest filled with old coins and jewelry.

With the treasure in hand, they ran back towards the cabin, while the man still lay on the ground, struggling to get up.

When they got back to the cabin, they all sat down to catch their breath.

"We did it," Jakob said with a big smile.

Signe nodded and said, "We did it together."

Mikkel, still slightly out of breath, added, "I think we're a good team."

  • Jakob havde overvundet sin frygt for mørket.

Jakob had overcome his fear of the dark.

Signe had learned the importance of trusting her friends.

And Mikkel finally felt confident in himself and his place in the group.

From that day on, they knew they could handle anything together.
