Am frühen Sonntagmorgen lief Lena durch die leeren Straßen von Berlin.

On an early Sunday morning, Lena walked through the empty streets of Berlin.

Der Himmel war blau, die Vögel sangen.

The sky was blue, the birds were singing.

Sie freute sich und konnte sich ein Lächeln nicht verkneifen.

She felt happy and couldn't keep herself from smiling.

Heute ging sie mit Matthias zum Brunch.

Today, she was going to brunch with Matthias.

Matthias, ihr bester Freund, hatte ein traditionelles deutsches Café entdeckt.

Matthias, her best friend, had discovered a traditional German café.

Er war aufgeregt und konnte es kaum erwarten, es mit Lena zu teilen.

He was excited and couldn't wait to share it with Lena.

Er traf sie auf der Friedrichstraße.

He met her on Friedrichstrasse.

Gemeinsam gingen sie zum Café.

Together, they walked to the café.

Im Café roch es nach frischem Brot und Kaffee.

Inside the café, there was a smell of fresh bread and coffee.

Lena und Matthias suchten sich einen Tisch am Fenster.

Lena and Matthias found a table by the window.

Lena blickte hinaus und sah, wie Berlin erwachte.

Lena looked outside and saw Berlin coming to life.

Sie bestellten Brötchen, Wurst, Käse und Rührei.

They ordered bread rolls, sausages, cheese, and scrambled eggs.

Sie tranken Kaffee und lachten viel.

They drank coffee and laughed a lot.

Matthias erzählte Lena eine lustige Geschichte von seiner Arbeit.

Matthias told Lena a funny story from his work.

Lena kicherte und verschüttete ihren Kaffee.

Lena giggled and spilled her coffee.

Doch plötzlich wurde Lena still.

But suddenly, Lena became quiet.

Matthias bemerkte es und fragte sie, was los sei.

Matthias noticed and asked her what was wrong.

Lena sah besorgt aus.

Lena looked concerned.

Sie erzählte ihm, dass sie einen wichtigen Job in München angeboten bekommen hatte.

She told him that she had been offered an important job in Munich.

Matthias war überrascht.

Matthias was surprised.

Er wünschte Lena Glück, aber er wirkte traurig.

He wished Lena good luck, but he seemed sad.

Das konnte er sich nicht vorstellen.

He couldn't imagine it.

Lena war besorgt.

Sie wollte nicht, dass ihre Freundschaft wegen der Entfernung endet.

Sie dachten nach und fanden eine Lösung.

They thought and found a solution.

Sie machten einen Plan.

They made a plan.

Jeden Monat würde einer von ihnen den anderen besuchen.

Every month, one of them would visit the other.

Und jedes Mal würden sie zusammen brunchen gehen.

And each time, they would go brunching together.

Ob in Berlin, München oder irgendwo dazwischen.

Whether in Berlin, Munich, or somewhere in between.

Am Ende des Tages verabschiedeten sie sich mit einer festen Umarmung.

At the end of the day, they bid farewell with a tight hug.

Sie waren traurig, aber auch hoffnungsvoll.

They were sad, but also hopeful.

Sie wussten, dass ihre Freundschaft stark war und keine Entfernung sie trennen würde.

They knew that their friendship was strong and no distance would tear them apart.

Die Sonne ging unter und sie gingen nach Hause.

As the sun set, they went home.

Lena ging zum Bahnhof.

Lena went to the train station.

Matthias ging zu seiner Wohnung.

Matthias went to his apartment.

Sie winkten sich zum Abschied zu.

They waved goodbye to each other.

Auch wenn sie bald weit voneinander entfernt wären, wussten sie, dass ihre Freundschaft bleiben würde.

Und so endete der Sonntag.

And so the Sunday ended.

Es war ein Tag voller Lachen, Sorgen und Lösungen.

It was a day full of laughter, worries, and solutions.

Aber vor allem war es ein Tag der Freundschaft.

But above all, it was a day of friendship.

Und egal, was die Zukunft bringen würde, Lena und Matthias wussten, dass sie immer Freunde bleiben würden.

And regardless of what the future would bring, Lena and Matthias knew that they would always remain friends.
