Trapped in Time: Uku's Medieval Festival Adventure in Tallinn
Uku armastas seiklusi.
Uku loved adventures.
Ühel päikselisel suvepäeval läks ta Tallinna vanalinna festivalile.
One sunny summer day, he went to the festival in the old town of Tallinn.
Vanalinn oli täis rahvast ja melu.
The old town was full of people and activity.
Kõikjal olid keskaegsed müürid ja tornid.
Medieval walls and towers were everywhere.
The air was filled with the scent of fresh bread and cheerful music.
Uku kõndis läbi rahva, imetles kostüüme ja näitusi.
Uku walked through the crowd, admiring the costumes and displays.
Ühel hetkel märkas ta keset väljakut keskaegseid puust vitsa.
At one point, he noticed some medieval wooden stocks in the middle of the square.
Need olid vabad, ja tundusid huvitavad.
They were free to use and seemed interesting.
Uku approached the stocks and thought, "What does it feel like to be in medieval stocks?"
Uku thought it would be funny, so he put his hands and head through the holes.
Ta naeris koos sõpradega.
He laughed along with his friends.
Kuid äkki vitsad lukustusid.
But suddenly, the stocks locked.
Uku ei saanud enam liigutada.
Uku could no longer move.
Ta oli kinni jäänud!
He was stuck!
Rahvas ümberringi peatus ja vaatas huviga.
The crowd around him stopped and watched with interest.
Keegi proovis vitsa avada, kuid see ei õnnestunud.
Someone tried to open the stocks, but it didn't work.
Uku jäi sinna lõksu.
Uku remained trapped.
Ta tundis end äkitselt hirmunult ja abitult.
He suddenly felt scared and helpless.
“Appi, palun,” hüüdis Uku.
“Help, please,” Uku shouted.
Inimesed vaatasid teda kaastundlikult.
People looked at him sympathetically.
Then a man who looked like a medieval castle guard appeared.
Tal oli suur võti käes.
He had a big key in his hand.
“Ära muretse, sõber,” ütles ta naeratades.
“Don’t worry, my friend,” he said with a smile.
“See on festivalitrikk.
“This is a festival trick.
Ma saan sind lahti teha.” Mees keeras võtit ja vitsad avanesid.
I can set you free.” The man turned the key and the stocks opened.
Uku sai vabaks.
Uku was free.
Ta oli õnnelik ja hämmeldunud.
He felt happy and confused.
Ka rahvas plaksutas ja juubeldas.
The crowd clapped and cheered.
Uku tänas mehhaanikut ja sõpru.
Uku thanked the mechanic and his friends.
“See oli tõeline seiklus,” naeris Uku, kuigi tema käed olid natuke valusad.
“That was a real adventure,” Uku laughed, though his hands hurt a little.
He decided that next time he would think before acting.
But he liked that he had a story to tell others.
Uku veetis ülejäänud päeva festivalil, nautides kõike, mida vanalinn pakkus.
Uku spent the rest of the day at the festival, enjoying everything the old town had to offer.
And so ended Uku's adventure in the old town of Tallinn, full of joy and lessons.
