  • Kaarel ja Liisa jalutasid Tallinna vanalinnas.

Kaarel and Liisa walked through Tallinn's old town.

  • Päike säras kõrgetes majades.

The sun shone on the tall buildings.

  • Turuplats oli täis inimesi.

The marketplace was full of people.

  • Nad otsisid erilisi käsitööd.

They were looking for special handicrafts.

  • "Kust me alustame?"

    "Where do we start?"

  • küsis Liisa.

    asked Liisa.

  • "Lähme sinna poodi," vastas Kaarel ja näitas väikesele puumajale.

"Let's go to that shop," Kaarel replied, pointing at a small wooden house.

  • Nad läksid sisse.

    They went inside.

  • Poemüüja tervitas neid.

    The shopkeeper greeted them.

  • "Tere tulemast!

    "Welcome!

  • Kas otsite midagi kindlat?"

Are you looking for something specific?"

  • "Me tahame vaadata Eesti käsitööd," ütles Liisa.

"We want to see Estonian handicrafts," said Liisa.

  • Poemüüja naeratas.

    The shopkeeper smiled.

  • "Vaadake neid kootud kindaid.

    "Look at these knitted gloves.

  • Need on meie vanaema tehtud."

They were made by our grandmother."

  • Kaarel ja Liisa uurisid kindaid.

Kaarel and Liisa examined the gloves.

  • "Need on väga ilusad," ütles Kaarel ja võttis kindad kätte.

"These are very beautiful," said Kaarel, picking up a pair.

  • Nad jätkasid oma teekonda edasi.

    They continued on their way.

  • Järgmisena nägid nad savikauplust.

Next, they saw a pottery shop.

  • "Lähme vaatame," ütles Liisa ja astus sisse.

"Let's go have a look," said Liisa, stepping inside.

  • Seal nägid nad peeneid keraamikatöid.

There they saw fine ceramic works.

  • "Osta need taldrikud," ütles Kaarel.

    "Buy these plates," said Kaarel.

  • "Need sobivad ideaalselt meie kodusele lauale."

"They would be perfect for our dining table."

  • Nad ostsid kaks taldrikut.

    They bought two plates.

  • Poemüüja pakkis taldrikud hoolikalt.

The shopkeeper carefully packed the plates.

  • Kaks sõpra kõndisid tänaval edasi.

The two friends walked further down the street.

  • Äkki nägid nad muusikamängijat.

    Suddenly, they saw a musician.

  • Muusik mängis kannelt.

The musician was playing a kannel.

  • "Kuula, kui kaunis see on," ütles Liisa ja peatus.

"Listen, how beautiful it is," said Liisa, stopping.

  • Muusik mängis vana lugu, mis rääkis armastusest ja kodust.

The musician played an old song about love and home.

  • Inimesed kogunesid tema ümber.

    People gathered around him.

  • Kaarel ja Liisa andsid muusikule mõned mündid.

Kaarel and Liisa gave the musician some coins.

  • "Aitäh," ütles muusik ja kummardas.

"Thank you," said the musician, bowing.

  • Lõpuks jõudsid nad väikese puutöökotta.

Finally, they reached a small wood workshop.

  • Seal oli palju ilusaid puunikerdusi.

There were many beautiful wood carvings.

  • "Mis see on?"

    "What is this?"

  • küsis Kaarel ja osutas väikesele karbile.

asked Kaarel, pointing at a small box.

  • "See on vana-aja ehtekarp," vastas puutöömeister.

"This is an old-fashioned jewelry box," replied the woodworker.

  • "Seda tegi minu vanaisa."

"It was made by my grandfather."

  • "Imeline," ütles Liisa.

    "Wonderful," said Liisa.

  • "Ostame selle."

    "Let's buy it."

  • Nad maksid puunikerduste eest ja tänasid meistrit.

They paid for the wood carvings and thanked the craftsman.

  • Kell hakkas saama päev lõpule.

The day was coming to an end.

  • "See oli tore päev," märkis Liisa.

"It was a nice day," noted Liisa.

  • "Oleme leidnud palju ilusaid asju."

"We have found many beautiful things."

  • "Nii on," nõustus Kaarel.

    "Indeed," agreed Kaarel.

  • "Lähme nüüd koju ja paneme need oma kohale."

"Let's go home now and place them in their spots."

  • Sõprade südamed olid täis rõõmu.

Their hearts were filled with joy.

  • Nad jalutasid rahulolevalt läbi Tallinna vanalinna, kandes oma uusi aardeid armsas pakendis.

They walked contentedly through Tallinn's old town, carrying their new treasures in lovely packages.

  • Päike loojas ja kogemused Tallinnas jäid neile kauaks meelde.

The sun set, and their experiences in Tallinn left lasting memories.

  • Nii lõppes nende tore päev vanalinnas käsitööd otsides.

Thus ended their delightful day searching for handicrafts in the old town.
