Kevadpäike paistis eredalt läbi ülikooli raamatukogu suurte akende.
The spring sun shone brightly through the large windows of the university library.
Kaarel istus sügavalt oma raamatusse mattununa.
Kaarel sat deeply engrossed in his book.
He had heard a rumor about a big April Fool's prank being planned at the university.
At first, Kaarel didn't believe it, but now he was sure that some trick might disrupt his concentration.
He wanted to study in peace and keep his grades high.
Maarja ja Piret istusid tema vastas.
Maarja and Piret sat opposite him.
Maarja oli tuntud oma lõbusate aprillinaljade poolest.
Maarja was known for her amusing April Fool's jokes.
Ta naeratas salakavalalt: "Kaarel, oled sa kuulnud, kuidas me kõik homme naerame siin?"
She smiled slyly: "Kaarel, have you heard how we'll all be laughing here tomorrow?"
Piret sekkus: "Maarja, ära hirmuta teda.
Piret intervened: "Maarja, don't scare him.
Võib-olla pole üldse mingit nalja."
Maybe there's no joke at all."
Kaarel ohkas.
Kaarel sighed.
"Ma tahan lihtsalt teada, kas keegi plaanib midagi tõsist.
"I just want to know if anyone is planning something serious.
I don't want my exams to get messed up."
Maarja surus oma häält: "Sa peaksid õppima lõdvestuma, Kaarel."
Maarja lowered her voice: "You should learn to relax, Kaarel."
Kuid Kaarel otsustas, et peab tõe välja selgitama.
But Kaarel decided he had to find out the truth.
Ta küsis Piretilt: "Kas sa saaksid minuga uurima minna?
He asked Piret, "Could you come and investigate with me?
I want to be sure that nothing big is going to happen."
Nad liikusid raamaturiiulite vahelt edasi, otsides vihjeid.
They moved between the bookshelves, looking for clues.
Nad jõudsid raamatukogu osasse, kus pidi suur nali toimuma.
They reached the part of the library where the big prank was supposed to happen.
Seal ootas neid aga hoopis midagi muud.
But there, something else entirely awaited them.
Nad nägid teadet: "Tere tulemast raamatukogu sardellijahile!
They saw a notice: "Welcome to the library sardine hunt!
Leia vihjed ja naera!"
Find clues and laugh!"
All the students were laughing and having fun, following the clues and collecting small prizes.
Kaarel hakkas naerma.
Kaarel started to laugh.
"Nii et see oligi nali," ütles Kaarel kergendustundega.
"So that was the joke," said Kaarel with relief.
Maarja patsutas talle õlale: "Näed, kõik on hästi!"
Maarja patted him on the shoulder: "See, everything's fine!"
Kaarel realized that not every disruption is a catastrophe.
Ta lõdvestus ja naeris koos sõpradega.
He relaxed and laughed with his friends.
See kevadine päev ülikooliraamatukogus oli täis rõõmu ja kergendust.
This spring day in the university library was full of joy and relief.
Thus, Kaarel learned to enjoy life more and not to worry so much about smaller things.
The library echoed with laughter, and Kaarel knew that everything was alright.
