  • Bhí fuacht an gheimhridh ag rince thart ar na hAillte an lá sin.

The winter cold was dancing around the Aillte that day.

  • Bhí an spéir liath agus an fharraige ag bualadh go díograiseach i gcoinne na gcarraigeacha mórthimpeall.

The sky was gray, and the sea was beating earnestly against the rocks all around.

  • Bhí Aoife agus Cian ag ullmhú don turas laethúil, cé go raibh turasóirí beag ní ba lú ann ná mar is gnách an t-am seo den bhliain.

Aoife and Cian were preparing for the daily tour, although there were fewer tourists than usual at this time of year.

  • Bhí Aoife sásta laethanta a chaitheamh ag míniú stair na hÉireann do dhaoine eile.

Aoife was happy to spend her days explaining the history of Éireann to others.

  • Ach, bhí dúil aici i gcathair Bháile Átha Cliath mar áit nua le deiseanna gan áireamh.

However, she had an interest in the city of Baile Átha Cliath as a new place with innumerable opportunities.

  • Bhí athrach saoil ag tpion Aoife anseo i mohar, ach theastaigh uaithi níos mó.

Aoife was beginning a life change here in mohar, but she wanted more.

  • Bhí fonn uirthi dul i mbun staidéir agus bualadh le daoine nua i gcathair ghalánta na Gaillimhe.

She had a desire to pursue studies and meet new people in the elegant city of Gaillimh.

  • Ní raibh Cian ar an eolas faoi sin, ba bhreá leis a shaol mar atá sé ag an Aillte.

Cian was unaware of this; he loved his life as it was at the Aillte.

  • "Ná rachaimis go Baile Átha Cliath do Lá Fhéile Vailintín?

"Shall we go to Baile Átha Cliath for Lá Fhéile Vailintín?"

  • " a d'iarr Aoife go mealltach ar Chian, ag breathnú air le súile geal dóchasacha.

Aoife asked enticingly, looking at Cian with bright, hopeful eyes.

  • Ní raibh Cian ró-pháirteach, ach mheas sé cuairt gairid a thabhairt uirthi.

Cian wasn't too involved, but he considered paying her a short visit.

  • Le linn an turais, bhí siad ag seasamh ar imeall na n-aillte, ag faire ar na tonnta móra ag briseadh.

During the trip, they stood at the edge of the cliffs, watching the big waves crashing.

  • D'ealaigh Aoife a cófra istigh.

    Aoife took a deep breath.

  • "Cian, tá rud éigin le rá agam," a dúirt sí go mall.

"Cian, I have something to say," she said slowly.

  • D'fhéach Cian uirthi, a aghaidh socair agus aclaí.

Cian looked at her, his face calm and attentive.

  • "Tá fonn orm dul go Béal Átha Cliath go buan," a dúirt sí go híseal ach go láidir.

"I want to go to Béal Átha Cliath permanently," she said quietly but firmly.

  • "Teastaíonn uaim rudaí nua a thriail agus deiseanna nua a fháil.

"I want to try new things and find new opportunities.

  • Tuigeann tú, nach ndéanfaidh?

    You understand, don't you?"

  • "Bhí Cian i dtost ar feadh nóiméid, an ghaoth ag spalpadh go mín ina aghaidh.

Cian was silent for a moment, the wind gently lapping against his face.

  • "Níor smaoinigh mé ar Éireann a fhágáil," a dúirt sé faoi dheireadh.

"I never thought of leaving Éireann," he said finally.

  • "Ach tá aithne agam ort, a ghrá, agus más í sin do mhian, beidh mé anseo chun tacaíocht a thabhairt duit.

"But I know you, my love, and if that's your desire, I'll be here to support you."

  • "D'fill tear nua i súile Aoife, ní mar gheall ar bhrón, ach mar gheall ar ghrá agus tuigbheáil.

A new tear appeared in Aoife's eyes, not because of sadness, but because of love and understanding.

  • Bhí sí bródúil as a misneach seo a léiriú agus níos cumhachtaí as tacaíocht Chian.

She was proud of her courage in expressing this and empowered by Cian's support.

  • Ag teacht am réitithe ar an aisling nua seo, shocraigh siad go dtiocfaidh athrú, bíodh i mohar nó ansin i Béal Átha Cliath.

As they embraced the prospect of this new dream, they decided that change would come, whether here or in Béal Átha Cliath.

  • Bhí a gceangal ní ba láidre anois.

    Their bond was now stronger.

  • Agus sainigh Aoife a topaíon go me fearless hunt.

And Aoife defined her goal to be a fearless hunter of dreams.

  • Leanadar, ar ais ag obair, ag instealladh dánghlais leis na turasóirí.

They continued, back at work, enthusing the tourists.

  • Ach anois, bhí todhchaí oscailte rompu, plódaithe le húireachtaí nua, ardmhonar agus grá gan choinne.

But now, a future lay open before them, filled with new adventures, great achievements, and unexpected love.
