The cabin had a fireplace with large stones, and just a little was missing for the place to become warmer and more inviting.

On the table were already apples and honey, the symbols of Rosh Hashanah.

אבל אז, הסנאי התפרץ לחיים שלהם.

But then, the squirrel burst into their lives.

הסנאי הקטן מצא את דרכו לתוך הבקתה, וכל הזמן גנב את האגוזים ואפילו התפוחים מהשולחן.

The little squirrel found its way into the cabin, constantly stealing the nuts and even the apples from the table.

אבי לא היה יכול לסבול את זה.

Avi couldn't stand it.

הוא חיפש פתרונות ושם מלכודות סביב הבקתה, הוא יצא אל החצר ובנה מכשירים מסובכים לתפוס את הסנאי השובב.

He looked for solutions and set traps around the cabin; he went outside into the yard and built complicated devices to catch the mischievous squirrel.

לעומת זאת, תמר הסתכלה צוחקת ומציעה לקחת את זה בקלות.

In contrast, Tamar watched, laughing, and suggested taking it easy.

"הסנאי רק מחפש אוכל," היא אמרה.

"The squirrel is just looking for food," she said.

כך חגגו השניים את ראש השנה שלהם, מבינים שלפעמים, דווקא הבלתי צפוי הוא זה שמעצב את הזכרונות היפים ביותר.
