ठंडी सर्दियों की दोपहर थी।

It was a cold winter afternoon.

बर्फबारी हो रही थी, और अस्पताल की खिड़कियों पर बर्फ की हल्की परत जमी थी।

Snow was falling, and a thin layer of snow was settled on the windows of the hospital.

Anaya slowly stepped into that deserted gallery of the hospital.

यहीं कहीं, मानसिक स्वास्थ वार्ड के एक कमरे में, उसका छोटा भाई विवान भर्ती था।

Somewhere there, in one of the rooms of the mental health ward, her younger brother Vivaan was admitted.

अनया के दिल में इस बार एक खास मकसद था।

This time, Anaya had a special purpose in her heart.

विवान का कमरा सर्द था, लेकिन अनया ने उसे गर्मजोशी से भरने की ठानी।

Vivaan's room was cold, but Anaya resolved to fill it with warmth.

She took out some decorations from her belongings.

She held colorful strings and a small Christmas tree in her hands.

Slowly, she began decorating the room.

उसने सोचा, शायद यही विवान को अपने पुराने घर की याद दिला सके।

She thought, perhaps this could remind Vivaan of their old home.

Anaya felt that Vivaan was drifting away.

वह थोड़ा ढीठ बन चुका था, जैसे उसे किसी की समझ की जरूरत नहीं।

He had become a bit stubborn, as if he didn't need anyone's understanding.

अनजाने में ही, वह आनंद से ख़ुद को अलग कर चुका था।

पर अनया ने हार नहीं मानी।

वह सही मौके की इंतजार में थी, जब दोनों बिना किसी रुकावट के बात कर सकें।

She was waiting for the right moment, when they could talk without any interruptions.

रात के समय, जब आसपास लगभग सब सो चुके थे, अनया ने विवान से कहा, "क्या तुम्हें याद है, जब हम छोटे थे, तो हर साल इस समय हम पेड़ सजाते थे?"

At night, when almost everyone around was asleep, Anaya said to Vivaan, "Do you remember, when we were little, every year at this time we used to decorate the tree?"

विवान ने धीरे से सिर हिलाया, यह इशारा करते हुए कि उसे याद है।

Vivaan slowly nodded, indicating that he remembered.

अनया ने धीरे से उसके पास बैठते हुए कहा, "विवान, मुझे पता है कि मैं तुम्हारी सब कुछ नहीं समझ सकती। लेकिन मैं कोशिश कर रही हूं। मैं माफी मांगती हूं कि मैं पहले नहीं समझ सकी।"

Anaya gently sat next to him and said, "Vivaan, I know that I can't understand everything about you. But I am trying. I apologize for not understanding before."

यह सुनकर, विवान की आंखों में आंसू आ गए।

Hearing this, tears came to Vivaan's eyes.
