Ana, Luka i Ivanka hodali su uskim ulicama Dubrovnika.
Ana, Luka, and Ivanka walked through the narrow streets of Dubrovnik.
Bio je sunčan dan.
It was a sunny day.
Kamen pod nogama bio je topao.
The stone underfoot was warm.
Nastava iz povijesti na otvorenom bila je zanimljiva.
The outdoor history lesson was interesting.
Profesorica Perica bila je ispred grupe.
Professor Perica led the group.
„Pogledajte te zidine,“ rekla je profesorica Perica.
"Look at those walls," said Professor Perica.
„Grad je građen kroz stoljeća.“
"The city was built over centuries."
Ana je bila znatiželjna.
Ana was curious.
„Zašto su zidovi tako visoki?“
"Why are the walls so high?"
„Da štite grad,“ odgovorila je profesorica Perica s osmijehom.
"To protect the city," answered Professor Perica with a smile.
Luka je fotografirao.
Luka was taking pictures.
„Ovo je prelijepo,“ rekao je.
"This is beautiful," he said.
Ivanka je držala knjigu.
Ivanka was holding a book.
Voljela je čitati o povijesti.
She loved reading about history.
„Dubrovnik ima mnogo priča,“ rekla je.
"Dubrovnik has many stories," she said.
„To je kao biti u prošlosti.“
"It's like being in the past."
Dok su hodali po zidinama, vidjeli su more.
As they walked along the walls, they saw the sea.
Bilo je mirno i plavo.
It was calm and blue.
Djeca su bila sretna i puna pitanja.
The children were happy and full of questions.
„Tko je živio ovdje?“ upitala je Ana.
"Who lived here?" Ana asked.
„Plemići, trgovci, obrtnici,“ odgovorila je profesorica Perica.
"Nobles, merchants, craftsmen," replied Professor Perica.
„Grad je bio bogat.“
"The city was wealthy."
Došli su do tornja Minčeta.
They reached the Minčeta Tower.
Profesorica Perica je stala.
Professor Perica stopped.
„Ovjde možete vidjeti cijeli grad.“
"From here you can see the whole city."
Luka je gledao.
Luka looked around.
„Osjećam povijest.“
"I can feel the history."
Ana je dotakla kamen.
Ana touched the stone.
„Želim znati više.“
"I want to know more."
Ivanka je otvorila knjigu.
Ivanka opened her book.
„Piše da je zidina izgrađena u 13. stoljeću.“
"It says the wall was built in the 13th century."
Profesorica Perica kimnula je glavom.
Professor Perica nodded.
„Da, to je točno.“
"Yes, that's correct."
Sunce je sjalo.
The sun was shining.
Grad Dubrovnik je bio svijetao i živ.
The city of Dubrovnik was bright and alive.
Hodali su kroz povijest, kroz prošlost.
They walked through history, through the past.
„Dubrovnik je neuništiv,“ rekla je Ivanka.
"Dubrovnik is indestructible," Ivanka said.
Ana je pogledala prijatelje.
Ana looked at her friends.
„Ovo je najbolja nastava ikada!“
"This is the best lesson ever!"
Svi su se složili.
Everyone agreed.
Dubrovnik je bio njihov učitelj, a njegove zidine bile su knjige povijesti.
Dubrovnik was their teacher, and its walls were history books.
Povratak u sadašnjost bio je sretan jer su sada znali više o prošlosti.
Returning to the present was joyful because they now knew more about the past.
Nastava je završila, ali sjećanje na dan ostalo je.
