Ivana, njegova sestra, i Luka, njegov najbolji prijatelj, su s njim.

Danas je Dan državnosti.

Odluka je pala — provesti dan u prirodi.

The decision has been made—they will spend the day in nature.

"Sviđa mi se ovo mjesto," kaže Ivana dok gledaju jezero.

"I like this place," Ivana says while they look at the lake.

Luka razmotri kartu.

Luka examines the map.

"Idemo do onog vidikovca, odande je pogled najbolji," predlaže.

"Let's go to that viewpoint, the view from there is the best," he suggests.

Dok hodaju, Matej zastane.

As they walk, Matej stops.

"Pogledaj ovaj lijepi cvijet!

"Look at this beautiful flower!"

" uzvikne.

he exclaims.

Dok se naginje prema cvijetu, osjeti ubod na svom vratu.

As he leans toward the flower, he feels a sting on his neck.

Bio je to kukac.

It was a bug.

U početku ništa.

At first, nothing.

Ali jednostavno svrbež postaje ozbiljan.

But the simple itch becomes serious.

Matej osjeća kako mu se koža crveni i diže vrat.

Matej feels his skin turning red and his neck swelling.

"Ivana, ne osjećam se dobro," kaže Matej nervozno.

"Ivana, I don't feel well," Matej says nervously.

Ivana, studentica medicine, odmah prepozna simptome.

Ivana, a medical student, immediately recognizes the symptoms.

"Matej, jesi li alergičan na ubode?

"Matej, are you allergic to stings?"

" upita ga brzo.

she asks quickly.

Matej teško diše.

Matej struggles to breathe.

Luka odmah paničari.

Luka immediately panics.

"Moramo nešto učiniti!

"We need to do something!"

" viče.

he shouts.

Ivana ostane mirna.

Ivana remains calm.

"Luka, smirimo se.

"Luka, let's stay calm.

Imam injekciju epinefrina.

I have an epinephrine injection.

Sad ću to dati Mateju.

I'll give it to Matej now."

"Njezine ruke ne drhte.

Her hands do not tremble.

Brzo vadi injekciju iz torbe.

She quickly takes the injection out of her bag.

Matej se bori za dah.

Matej fights for breath.

Ivana ulazi u akciju i daje mu injekciju.

Ivana springs into action and gives him the injection.

Luka drži Mateja za ruku i pokušava ne paničariti.

Luka holds Matej's hand and tries not to panic.

Par minuta prolazi kao vječnost.

A few minutes pass like eternity.

Matej počinje polako disati.

Matej begins to breathe slowly.

Ivana zove hitnu pomoć.

Ivana calls for an ambulance.

"Moramo mirovati dok ne dođu," kaže.

"We need to stay put until they arrive," she says.

Zvuk sirena dolazi kroz drveće.

The sound of sirens comes through the trees.

Ambulanata stiže.

The ambulance arrives.

Paramedici podržavaju Mateja i stavljaju ga na nosila.

The paramedics support Matej and place him on a stretcher.

"Dobro si prošao.

"You did well.

Idemo u bolnicu," kaže jedan od njih.

We're going to the hospital," one of them says.

Ivana ga podržava.

Ivana supports him.

"Sve će biti uredu, Matej.

"Everything will be fine, Matej."

"U bolnici, Matej nasloni glavu na jastuk.

In the hospital, Matej rests his head on a pillow.

Osjeća se sigurno.

He feels safe.

"Hvala vam," kaže Matej.

"Thank you," says Matej.

"Niste me napustili.

"You didn't abandon me."

"Ivana mu se smiješi.

Ivana smiles at him.

"Uvijek ću biti tu za tebe," obeća.

"I will always be here for you," she promises.

Luka, još uvijek šokiran, klimne glavom.

Luka, still shocked, nods his head.

"I ja isto.

"Me too."

"Matej nauči važnu lekciju.

Matej learns an important lesson.

Postane oprezniji.

He becomes more cautious.

Više obraća pažnju na svoju okolinu.

He pays more attention to his surroundings.

I više cijeni brigu svoje sestre i prijatelja.

And he appreciates his sister's and friend's care even more.

Na kraju dana, Maksimir park i dalje cvjeta.

At the end of the day, Maksimir park is still blooming.

Matej, Ivana i Luka sjede zajedno.

Matej, Ivana, and Luka sit together.

Ova pustolovina ih je još više povezala.

This adventure has brought them even closer.

Dan državnosti je završio, ali ovo prijateljstvo tek počinje.
