The Banana Trade: A Night Market Mix-Up
That evening, the bright moon illuminated the Night Market, bustling with the voices of traders and buyers.
Siti, Budi, and Rini were three friends strolling along the row of stalls at the market.
Siti, a cheerful and curious girl, saw a fruit stall filled with fresh and sweet bananas.
"Lihat itu! Pisangnya besar-besar, ya?" ujar Siti dengan mata berbinar.
"Look at that! The bananas are so big, aren't they?" exclaimed Siti with sparkling eyes.
"Iya, kenapa tidak kita beli saja? Bisa untuk camilan malam ini."
Budi, the bold and adventurous one, replied, "Yes, why don't we just buy some? We can have them as a snack for tonight."
"Pastikan kita membayar dengan uang pas ya. Aku tidak mau ribet menunggu kembalian."
Rini, always meticulous and cautious, added, "Make sure we pay with the exact amount. I don't want to deal with getting change."
Tempted by the tantalizing aroma, Siti took out her wallet from her bag.
However, she suddenly spoke to the banana seller and, without realizing, placed her phone on the table.
While continuing to laugh and joke with Budi and Rini, Siti received a stack of bananas and walked away.
A few minutes later, Siti reached into her bag and realized her phone was missing.
"Loh, ponselku kemana ya?" tanyanya dengan nada panik.
"Hey, where's my phone?" she asked in a panicked tone.
Budi and Rini immediately burst into laughter as they speculated what had happened.
"You must have traded it for the bananas!" said Rini, trying to hold back her laughter.
Siti tercengang.
Siti was shocked. She had forgotten that she left her phone at the banana stall.
The three of them hurried back to the stall, but the banana seller had moved on to other customers.
Siti then began speaking with the fruit seller.
"Maaf pak, sepertinya saya tertukar.
"Excuse me, sir, it seems we had a mix-up. Here are the bananas. Can I please have my phone back?" said Siti with a trembling voice.
"Oh, kamu yang tadi? Ini ponselnya. Untung saja aku melihat dan menunggu kamu kembali."
The seller squinted, then laughed and said, "Oh, you're the one from earlier? Here's your phone. Luckily, I noticed and waited for you to return."
Siti merasa lega. Dia meminta maaf dan mengucapkan terima kasih sambil mengambil ponselnya.
Siti felt relieved. She apologized and expressed her gratitude as she retrieved her phone.
Budi and Rini, also relieved, couldn't stop laughing.
With her phone back in hand and a joyful heart, the three of them continued their evening adventure, eating bananas and laughing together about the funny and unexpected incident at the Night Market.
And that night, Siti learned a valuable lesson – to always be vigilant with her belongings, especially in crowded places like the Night Market.
