"Hey, Haruto-kun, it's busy tonight too, isn't it? But it's fun, right?" Aiko said with a smile.

「うん、そうかもね。でも僕は少し疲れてるかも」とハルとはため息を漏らした。

"Yeah, maybe so. But I might be a bit tired," Haru sighed.

アイコには秘密があった。

Aiko had a secret.

彼女は、お花見の計画をこっそり進めていた。

She was secretly planning a ohanami—a traditional flower viewing.

「ハルとくんも誘いたいな。きっと彼にも楽しんでほしい」と考えていた。

"I want to invite Haruto-kun, too. I really want him to enjoy it," she thought.

仕事が終わる時間になっても、ハルとは残業を決意した。

Even when it was time to leave work, Haru decided to stay for overtime.

まだたくさんのメールが未回答で残っていた。

翌日、アイコはハルとに話しかけた。

「お花見、誘ってもいいかな？一緒に行こうよ」

そして、彼は笑顔で答えた。「行こう。
