However, when Satoshi goes to the village store, he learns that the incense he was hoping for is sold out.

代わりの香りもありますが、特別な儀式にはどうしても合いません。

There are alternative scents available, but they are not suitable for the special ceremony.

サトシは迷いました。

でも、諦めずに自分で必要な材料を探そうと決心します。

Yet, he decides not to give up and resolves to find the necessary ingredients himself.

「私は自分で探してみます」とサトシは言い、寺の周りの桜の木々の森へ向かいます。

"I'll try to find them on my own," Satoshi says, heading towards the forest of cherry trees surrounding the temple.

そこで彼は特別な桜の樹皮と芳香のあるハーブを見つけます。

There, he discovers some special cherry bark and aromatic herbs.

でも、それを使うためには寺の長老たちの許可が必要です。

However, to use them, he needs the permission of the temple elders.

寺に戻ると、サトシは長老たちに事情を説明します。

When he returns to the temple, Satoshi explains the situation to the elders.

「伝統も重要ですが、新しい試みが必要です」とサトシは言います。

"Tradition is important, but new attempts are necessary," Satoshi says.
