春の日差しがやさしく、孤児院の庭を満たしていました。

The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, swaying in the breeze.

この孤児院には、12歳のゆいが住んでいました。

In this orphanage lived 12-year-old Yui.

ゆいは明るく、いつも前向きな女の子です。

Yui was a bright, always optimistic girl.

もうすぐ学校の祭りがあります。

There was soon going to be a school festival.

今年のテーマは「ひな祭り」。

This year's theme was 'Hinamatsuri.'

ゆいは、この祭りに向けて特別な展示をしたいと思っていました。

Yui wanted to create a special exhibit for this festival.

孤児院には十分な材料がありません。

The orphanage didn't have enough materials.

でも、ゆいには夢がありました。

But Yui had a dream.

「みんなにすごい展示を見せたい！」

"I want to show everyone an amazing display!"

孤児院の中庭には、準備をするための小さなテーブルがありました。

In the courtyard of the orphanage, there was a small table to prepare on.

そこにゆいはケンタとハナを呼びかけました。

Yui called over Kenta and Hana.

「みんなで、ひな祭りの人形を作ろう！」とゆいは言いました。

"Let's make ひなまつり dolls together!" Yui said.

ケンタとハナは元気に「いいね！」と答えました。

Kenta and Hana cheerfully replied, "Great idea!"

「材料が足りないけど、リサイクルできるものを使おう」とゆいは提案しました。

"We don't have enough materials, but let's use recyclable things," Yui suggested.

空き缶、古い紙、布の切れ端。

Empty cans, old paper, scraps of cloth.

小さな手で集めて、3人は一生懸命働きました。

Gathering them with their small hands, the three of them worked hard.

時間がない中、みんなで力を合わせました。

With little time, they all combined their efforts.

春をテーマにした人形たちは、だんだんと形になりました。

The dolls, themed around spring, gradually took shape.

桜の花びらを模した紙の帯、鮮やかな色の布で飾られたひな壇が少しずつ完成していきました。

Paper sashes imitating cherry blossom petals and ひな壇 decorated with brightly colored fabrics slowly came together.

そして、祭りの日がやってきました。

Then, the day of the festival arrived.

展示の直前、なんと、ひとつの人形が壊れてしまいました。

Just before the exhibit, one of the dolls broke.

ゆいはびっくりしました。

Yui was shocked.

「どうしよう...」

"What should we do...?"

でもその時、ケンタが言いました。「僕が手伝うよ！」

But that was when Kenta said, "I'll help!"

ハナも「私も！」と言って、心強かったです。

Hana also said, "Me too!" It was very reassuring.

みんなで協力して、人形をすばやく直しました。

Together, they quickly fixed the doll.

無事に展示ができたのです。

The display could go on safely.

祭りが始まりました。

The festival began.

ゆいの展示はたくさんの人に見てもらえました。

Yui's exhibit was seen by many people.

「すごいね！」とみんなが褒めてくれます。

"It's amazing!" everyone praised.

ゆいの心はとても温かく、満たされました。

Yui's heart was very warm and fulfilled.

この経験から、ゆいは多くを学びました。

From this experience, Yui learned a lot.

資源が少なくても、創意工夫とチームワークがあれば、何でもできるのです。

Even with few resources, with creativity and teamwork, anything is possible.

ゆいは自信を持ち、孤児院にいることが誇りに思えました。

Yui felt confident and proud to be in the orphanage.

桜の花がゆっくりと落ちる孤児院の庭で、ゆいは幸せを感じたのでした。

In the orphanage garden, where cherry blossoms were slowly falling, Yui felt happiness.

みんなが家族のように、ひな祭りを祝いました。

Everyone celebrated ひなまつり like a family.

ゆいの心の中に、孤独の影はもうありませんでした。
