붉은 등불과 전통 장식물들이 추운 공기를 따뜻하게 만들어 주었다.

In celebration of Seollal, the Korean Lunar New Year, Jiho was looking forward to reuniting with his family.

설날을 맞아 지호는 가족과의 재회를 앞두고 있었다.

Having lived abroad for several years, he felt somewhat distant from them.

몇 년 동안 해외에서 생활하며 그는 가족과의 관계가 먼 것 같았다.

Because of this, he wanted to reconnect with his family during this Seollal.

그런 만큼, 이번 설날에는 가족과 다시 연결되고 싶었다.

Passing through the main gate of Gyeongbokgung, Jiho found his parents and his younger sister, Minseo.

경복궁의 대문을 지나며 지호는 부모님과 동생 민서를 찾았다.

Behind them, his cousin Eunji greeted him with a smile.

그들 뒤에는 사촌 은지가 웃으며 그를 맞이했다.

Eunji said with a smile, ""Oppa, it's been such a long time!"

은지가 웃으면서 ""오빠, 정말 오랜만이야!"라고 말했다.

Although Jiho smiled, there was a sense of unease lingering in a corner of his heart.

지호는 미소를 짓지만 마음 한 구석에는 불안함이 감돌았다.

The Seollal tradition of sebae, or the New Year's bow, began.

설날 전통인 세배가 시작되었다.

Jiho bowed in front of his family.

지호는 가족들 앞에서 절을 했다.

Inside, he harbored unresolved emotions from the past.

마음속에는 예전에 소화하지 못한 감정들이 얽혀 있었다.

"I am truly sorry to all of you. I haven't been by your side for so long. From now on, I'll be around more often," Jiho said.

"여러분께 진심으로 미안해요. 오랫동안 곁에 있지 못해서요. 앞으로는 더 자주 함께할게요," 지호가 말했다.

His sincerity brought warm smiles to his parents' faces.

그의 솔직함에 부모님은 따뜻하게 웃었다.

His mother held Jiho's hand and replied, ""Yes, Jiho-ya. We are so happy that you're back."

Eunji stood beside him and said, ""We are always family," embracing him.

As they dined together, the family listened to Jiho's stories—his new experiences and what he had learned overseas.

Now, being with his family, Jiho grew to love the traditions and culture of his ancestors even more.
