En kald vinterdag i Oslo, gikk Lars bortover gaten.
On a cold winter day in Oslo, Lars walked along the street.
Lars var alltid litt klumsete.
Lars was always a bit clumsy.
"Hummer og Champagne" var en glitrende, fancy restaurant.
"Lobster and Champagne" was a sparkling, fancy restaurant.
Det var der Lars gikk inn.
That's where Lars went in.
Inne var det flott.
Inside, it was magnificent.
Lars så seg rundt.
Lars looked around.
Han gikk mot et bord.
He walked towards a table.
Gulvet var skinnende.
The floor was shiny.
Det var nyvokset.
It had been recently waxed.
Lars merket det ikke.
Lars didn't notice.
Plutselig glir Lars på gulvet.
Suddenly, Lars slips on the floor.

Lars bestiller mat.
Lars orders food.
Han spiser og drikker.
He eats and drinks.
Folk fortsetter å snakke og le.
People keep talking and laughing.
Lars prøver å glemme det.
Lars tries to forget about it.
Etter middag, Lars er klar til å gå.
After dinner, Lars is ready to leave.
Han ser ned på det skinnende gulvet.
He looks down at the shiny floor.
Han tar små, forsiktige skritt.
He takes small, cautious steps.
Han går sakte mot døren.
He walks slowly towards the door.
Folk ler ikke lenger.
People no longer laugh.

They look at him with respect.

"Well done," someone says.

He is no longer embarrassed.
Han er sterk.
He is strong.
"Woops," tenker Lars når han går ut, "Livet er fullt av overraskelser!
"Whoops," Lars thinks as he walks out, "Life is full of surprises!"

Han ler av seg selv.
He laughs at himself.
Han er glad.
He is happy.
Han har lært noe nytt.
He has learned something new.
Han har vokst litt som person.
He has grown as a person.
Lars er ikke lenger bare klumsete.

Han er klumsete og modig.
He is clumsy and courageous.
Han er klumsete og sterk.
