In a small fjord in Norway, Kari and Erik went for a walk.

  • De likte å gå på tur.

    They liked going for walks.

  • "Se på fjellene, Erik", sa Kari.

"Look at the mountains, Erik," said Kari.

  • Erik nikket.

    Erik nodded.

  • Han likte fjellene også.

    He also liked the mountains.

  • Plutselig begynte det å regne.

    Suddenly, it started to rain.

  • Kari og Erik ble fanget i regnet.

Kari and Erik were caught in the rain.

  • De var våte og kalde.

    They were wet and cold.

  • "Å nei!

    "Oh no!"

  • " sa Kari, "Vi er våte!

    said Kari, "We're wet!"

  • " Erik var også bekymret.

    Erik was also worried.

  • De ønsket ikke å være i regnet.

They didn't want to be in the rain.

  • Men så kom Ingrid.

    But then Ingrid came.

  • Ingrid var deres venn.

    Ingrid was their friend.

  • Hun hadde en paraply.

    She had an umbrella.

  • Men noe var annerledes.

    But something was different.

  • Ingrid smilte.

    Ingrid smiled.

  • Hun virket ikke bekymret for regnet.

She didn't seem worried about the rain.

  • "Ingrid, hvorfor smiler du?

    "Ingrid, why are you smiling?"

  • " spurte Erik.

    Erik asked.

  • Ingrid lo.

    Ingrid laughed.

  • "Fordi," sa hun, "regnet er moro!

"Because," she said, "the rain is fun!"

  • " Hun begynte å danse.

    She started dancing.

  • Kari og Erik ble overrasket.

    Kari and Erik were surprised.

They had never thought of the rain as something fun before.

  • Ingrid tok hånden deres.

    Ingrid took their hands.

  • "Kom," sa hun, "La oss danse i regnet!

"Come," she said, "Let's dance in the rain!"

  • " Kari og Erik så på hverandre.

Kari and Erik looked at each other.

  • De var fortsatt kalde og våte.

They were still cold and wet.

  • Men de kunne også ha det gøy.

But they could also have fun.

  • Så de begynte å danse.

    So they started dancing.

  • De hoppet i pytter.

    They jumped in puddles.

  • De lo.

    They laughed.

They forgot that they were cold and wet.

  • De ble bare glad i regnet.

They just fell in love with the rain.

  • De danset med Ingrid.

    They danced with Ingrid.

  • Det var et morsomt og minneverdig øyeblikk.

It was a fun and memorable moment.

  • Til slutt stanset regnet.

    Eventually, the rain stopped.

  • Kari, Erik og Ingrid var fortsatt våte.

Kari, Erik, and Ingrid were still wet.

  • Men de var ikke lenger kalde.

But they were no longer cold.

  • De var varme fra dansingen.

    They were warm from dancing.

  • "Det var moro," sa Erik.

    "That was fun," said Erik.

  • Kari nikket.

    Kari nodded.

  • "Ja, det var det," sa hun.

    "Yes, it was," she said.

  • Ingrid smilte.

    Ingrid smiled.

"The rain isn't so bad," she said, "you can always find something fun to do."

And that's what Kari, Erik, and Ingrid learned that day.

Even though it can be uncomfortable and cold, you can always find something fun to do.

And best of all, they shared that moment together, dancing in the rain shower in the beautiful Norwegian fjord.
