On a sunny afternoon in Frogner Park, Oslo, Ola, Kari, and Espen walked along the beautiful pathways.

The trees were green, the flowers were blooming, and the sun cast a beautiful light over the park's famous statues.

  • Kari gikk litt foran de andre.

Kari was walking a bit ahead of the others.

  • Plutselig så hun en bekjent.

    Suddenly, she saw an acquaintance.

  • Trodde hun.

At least she thought she did.

  • Hun gikk bort til statuen.

She walked over to the statue.

  • "Heisann, det var lenge siden!"

"Hello there, it's been a while!"

  • sa Kari.

    Kari said.

  • Ola og Espen stoppet opp.

    Ola and Espen stopped.

  • De så Kari prate med statuen.

They saw Kari talking to the statue.

  • De kunne ikke tro sine egne øyne.

They couldn’t believe their own eyes.

  • "Har du hatt det bra?"

    "Have you been well?"

  • fortsatte Kari og smilte bredt.

    Kari continued, smiling broadly.

  • Ola og Espen begynte å fnise.

Ola and Espen started to giggle.

  • Espen tok hånden for å dekke munnen, men latteren hans lurte seg ut.

Espen covered his mouth with his hand, but his laughter slipped out.

"Would you like to grab a coffee later?"

  • spurte Kari og vinket til statuen.

Kari asked, waving to the statue.

Ola and Espen couldn't hold it in anymore.

  • De brøt ut i høy latter.

They burst out in loud laughter.

Kari turned around and blushed when she finally understood.

  • Det var ikke en bekjent.

    It wasn’t an acquaintance.

It was one of the famous statues in the park!

  • "Å nei, hva har jeg gjort?"

"Oh no, what have I done?"

  • mumlet Kari, sjokkert og flau.

    Kari muttered, shocked and embarrassed.

Ola and Espen walked over to Kari, still laughing.

Kari looked at them, and finally, she started to laugh too.

Her mistake was comical, and soon all three were laughing together.

After calming down, Espen said, "Kari, you’ve given us the best laugh of the day."

Kari smiled, "Yes, it was embarrassing, but better that than not being able to laugh at yourself."

They continued walking through the park, now together.

This event became a funny story they would always remember and laugh about.

They went on to a nearby café.

There they talked about the day, laughed more, and enjoyed coffee together.

The day in Frogner Park ended up being one of the best days they’d had in a long time.

Sometimes, it’s the small moments of laughter and embarrassment that create the best memories.

  • Kari visste dette nå.

    Kari knew this now.

She looked at Ola and Espen, glad to have such friends who could laugh with (and at) her.

Life was good, and no one could ask for more.
