Astrid's Mission: Survival, Hope, and Trust in the Ruins
Through the shattered windows, sunbeams snuck into the old school building.
Astrid sto ved inngangsdøren og pustet dypt.
Astrid stood by the entrance door and took a deep breath.
The school had once been filled with laughter and life.
Now, it was a haunted place, overgrown by nature and abandoned by humans.
Hun visste risikoen, men hun måtte inn.
She knew the risks, but she had to go in.
Lillesøsteren, Ingrid, ventet.
Little sister Ingrid was waiting.
De trengte mat og medisiner.
They needed food and medicine.
Astrid var erfaren.
Astrid was experienced.
She had survived long in a world where dangers lurked around every corner.
Hun måtte bruke sine ferdigheter klokt.
She had to use her skills wisely.
Astrid listet seg inn i korridoren.
Astrid crept into the corridor.
Hun husket skolens layout.
She remembered the school's layout.
Hun hadde gått her selv som barn.
She had attended here herself as a child.
Biblioteket lå til høyre.
The library was on the right.
Der pleide det å være en førstehjelpsstasjon.
There used to be a first aid station there.
Laws about dangerous creatures and competitors swirled in her head.
Plutselig hørte hun skritt.
Suddenly, she heard footsteps.
She pressed herself into a niche and held her breath.
En annen skikkelse kom rundt hjørnet.
Another figure came around the corner.
En mann.
A man.
He had evidently also heard about the school and its opportunities.
Astrid didn't know if she could trust him, but she had no choice.
«Hei,» hvisket hun lavt, og kom sakte frem.
"Hey," she whispered softly, stepping forward slowly.
Mannen snudde seg raskt, skremt.
The man turned quickly, startled.
«Hvem er du?
"Who are you?"
» spurte han.
he asked.
«Jeg heter Astrid.
"My name is Astrid.
I'm here to find food and medicine," she replied.
«Kanskje vi kan hjelpe hverandre?
"Maybe we can help each other?"
»Mannen nølte, men nikket til slutt.
The man hesitated but finally nodded.
«Jeg heter Erik.
"My name is Erik.
Jeg leter også etter forsyninger.
I'm also looking for supplies."
»De startet med å søke sammen.
They began searching together.
Astrid used her knowledge of the building to find safe paths.
Erik viste seg å være nyttig.
Erik proved to be useful.
He was familiar with the mutated creatures and how to avoid them.
They found an old storage room filled with canned goods.
A large part of the medical supplies was still intact.
Astrid pustet lettet ut.
Astrid sighed with relief.
De ville klare en måned til.
They would manage for another month.
On their way back to the exit, they encountered a group of rival scavengers.
Erik and Astrid knew they couldn't fight and win.
Astrid holdt Erik tilbake og hvisket: «La oss prøve å prate.
Astrid held Erik back and whispered, "Let's try to talk."
»Hun gikk frem og løftet hendene.
She stepped forward and raised her hands.
«Vi har forsyninger.
"We have supplies.
Vi kan dele.
We can share.
Ingen grunn til kamp.
No need for a fight."
»Lederen for gruppen stirret på henne, usikker.
The leader of the group stared at her, uncertain.
Etter en lang pause sa han: «Greit.
After a long pause, he said, "Alright.
Vi deler.
We share."
They divided the supplies, and both groups moved on, richer in food and medicine.
Erik smilte til Astrid.
Erik smiled at Astrid.
«Det var modig.
"That was brave.
Du reddet oss.
You saved us."
»Astrid smilte tilbake.
Astrid smiled back.
«Jeg lærte noe i dag.
"I learned something today.
Noen ganger er allianser bedre enn å kjempe.
Sometimes alliances are better than fighting."
She looked at the ruins that had once been her school and felt a glimmer of hope.
Maybe it was still possible to build something new in a broken world.
With a heavy bag but a light heart, Astrid walked back towards Ingrid, confident that they were safe for a while longer.
She had faced dangers with courage and knowledge, and now she had discovered the value of cooperation.
I denne harde verden var det fortsatt plass for tillit.
In this harsh world, there was still room for trust.
