Vigeland Park was a peaceful oasis in Oslo.

  • Det var høst.

    It was autumn.

  • Trærne hadde kledd seg i gylne farger.

The trees had dressed themselves in golden colors.

The air was fresh, and on the ground lay a carpet of leaves.

  • Sigrid gikk inn i parken, kameraet hennes hang rundt halsen.

Sigrid walked into the park, her camera hanging around her neck.

  • Hun var spent.

    She was excited.

She had signed up for a photography class, and today was the first day.

  • Ingrid, instruktøren, var allerede der.

Ingrid, the instructor, was already there.

She stood by one of the many sculptures.

  • "Velkommen," sa Ingrid.

    "Welcome," said Ingrid.

"Here we'll learn to see the sculptures with fresh eyes."

  • "Sigrid smilte, men innvendig var hun nervøs.

Sigrid smiled, but inside, she was nervous.

  • Hun ville virkelig bli bedre til å ta bilder.

She really wanted to get better at taking pictures.

  • Hun ønsket å fange følelser i hvert bilde.

She wanted to capture emotions in every picture.

  • Men hun var også usikker.

    But she was also uncertain.

  • Ville hun klare å leve opp til sine egne forventninger?

Would she be able to live up to her own expectations?

  • Rundt henne var det flere andre deltakere.

Around her, there were several other participants.

  • En av dem var Lars.

    One of them was Lars.

He looked interested in the sculptures, writing notes in a small book.

  • Han la merke til Sigrid og smilte.

    He noticed Sigrid and smiled.

  • Sigrid smilte tilbake.

    Sigrid smiled back.

  • Klassen begynte.

    The class began.

  • Ingrid viste hvordan lyset kunne forandre en skulptur.

Ingrid showed how light could change a sculpture.

  • Sigrid forsøkte å finne de riktige vinklene.

Sigrid tried to find the right angles.

Her pictures were supposed to tell a story, but she felt they were missing something.

She clicked the camera, but was unsure of the results.

  • Da solen begynte å gå ned, samlet Ingrid gruppen.

As the sun began to set, Ingrid gathered the group.

"See how light and shadow dance on the sculptures now," she said.

  • "Prøv å fange dette øyeblikket.

    "Try to capture this moment."

Sigrid looked at a sculpture in the dim light.

  • Hun hevet kameraet, men før hun kunne ta bildet, kom Lars bort til henne.

She raised her camera, but before she could take the picture, Lars came over to her.

  • "Fint lys, ikke sant?

    "Nice light, isn't it?"

  • " sa han.

    he said.

  • "Ja," svarte Sigrid, litt overrasket over å få selskap.

"Yes," replied Sigrid, a little surprised to have company.

  • "Jeg liker hvordan skyggene gir dybde," fortsatte Lars.

"I like how the shadows add depth," continued Lars.

  • "Du fanger sikkert det perfekt.

    "You're surely capturing that perfectly."

  • ""Å, takk," sa Sigrid, mens hun følte seg litt mer selvsikker.

"Oh, thanks," said Sigrid, as she felt a bit more confident.

They started talking about art, about how they saw the world.

It was as if no one else was there.

They shared their thoughts and dreams about photography and art.

  • Da klassen var over, ga Lars henne sitt telefonnummer.

When the class was over, Lars gave her his phone number.

"Maybe we can work together on a project?"

  • " foreslo han.

    he suggested.

  • Sigrid nikket, glad for muligheten.

Sigrid nodded, happy for the opportunity.

On the way home, Sigrid thought about the conversation with Lars.

She felt lighter, more encouraged to embrace her unique style.

By opening up to collaboration, she gained new inspiration.

She looked forward to exploring this further.

That evening, while reviewing the photos she had taken, she realized they had their own voice.

  • Hennes stemme.

    Her voice.

And for the first time in a long while, she was satisfied with her work.
