Aerul de vară era plin de arome de verdeață și istorii vechi în zorii zilei când Ioana, Raluca și Dorin coborau din autobuzul școlii în fața Castelului Bran.

The summer air was filled with the scents of greenery and old stories in the early morning when Ioana, Raluca, and Dorin got off the school bus in front of Bran Castle.

Castelul se înălța măreț, cu turnurile sale gotice ce sfidau cerul albastru.

The castle rose majestically with its gothic towers defying the blue sky.

Zeci de turiști umpleau curtea, încercând să surprindă farmecul locului în fotografii grăbite.

Dozens of tourists filled the courtyard, trying to capture the charm of the place in hurried photographs.

Elevii erau nerăbdători să descopere istoria castelului, mai ales Ioana, care visa să găsească un secret ascuns al locului.

The students were eager to discover the history of the castle, especially Ioana, who dreamed of finding a hidden secret of the place.

"Haide, Raluca, nu vrei să afli și tu dacă există tuneluri secrete aici?

"Come on, Raluca, don't you want to find out if there are secret tunnels here?"

" o tachina Ioana în timp ce își dădea laoparte suvitele de păr de pe frunte.

Ioana teased as she brushed the hair off her forehead.

"Poate găsim ceva ce nimeni altcineva nu a văzut!

"Maybe we’ll find something no one else has seen!"

"Raluca se uita sceptică la prietena ei.

Raluca looked skeptically at her friend.

"Ioana, tu chiar crezi în legendele astea?

"Ioana, do you really believe in these legends?

E doar un castel vechi, iar noi trebuie să ne ținem de grup," îi răspunse ea, mereu precaută la reguli.

It's just an old castle, and we have to stick with the group," she replied, always cautious about the rules.

Dorin, mereu pus pe șotii, chicoti.

Dorin, always up to mischief, chuckled.

"Fetelor, dacă plecăm de aici fără să ne aventurăm puțin, ce poveste vom avea de spus?

"Girls, if we leave here without a little adventure, what story will we have to tell?"

"Cu toții au început vizita alături de profesorul lor, care le povestea despre Vlad Țepeș și vremurile lui.

They all began the tour with their teacher, who told them about Vlad Țepeș and his times.

Dar Ioana nu-și putea smulge gândurile de la coridoarele misterioase despre care citise.

But Ioana couldn't get her thoughts off the mysterious corridors she had read about.

Așadar, la prânz, când grupul s-a oprit pentru o gustare, Ioana a tras de mânecă.

So, at lunch, when the group stopped for a snack, Ioana tugged at her sleeve.

"Acum e momentul.

"Now's the moment.

Hai să vedem ce putem găsi.

Let’s see what we can find."

"Dorin nu a ezitat, ba chiar a plecat înaintea ei, iar Raluca le-a urmat mai mult din datorie față de prietenii ei.

Dorin didn't hesitate; in fact, he led the way, and Raluca followed more out of a sense of duty to her friends.

Împinși de curiozitatea lor, s-au strecurat pe un coridor întunecat, ușor uitat de lume, și au ajuns la o ușă mică, din lemn, ascunsă pe jumătate după un vechi tapet.

Driven by their curiosity, they snuck down a dark corridor, slightly forgotten by the world, and reached a small wooden door, half-hidden behind an old tapestry.

Ioana a apăsat pe clanță și a simțit cum ușa cedează cu un scârțâit lung.

Ioana pressed the handle and felt the door give way with a long creak.

În spatele ușii, o scară îngustă cobora în adâncurile castelului.

Behind the door, a narrow staircase descended into the depths of the castle.

"Uau, nu pot să cred că am găsit-o!

"Wow, I can't believe we found it!"

" șopti Ioana.

Ioana whispered.

Au coborât șoptind, iar pulsul lor parcă răsuna printre pereții reci.

They descended whispering, their pulses echoing among the cold walls.

Jos, într-o încăpere mică și umedă, au descoperit obiecte vechi, acoperite de praf: unelte, armuri, cărți scrise de mână.

Downstairs, in a small, damp room, they discovered old, dust-covered items: tools, armor, hand-written books.

Tocmai când analizează comoara, au auzit pași.

Just as they were examining the treasure, they heard footsteps.

Erau pașii directorului, care venea în direcția lor.

It was the footsteps of the headmaster, coming in their direction.

Rapid, Ioana a făcut câteva poze cu telefonul, și-au făcut cale înapoi fără să producă zgomot.

Quickly, Ioana took a few pictures with her phone, and they made their way back without making a sound.

Au reușit să se alăture grupului exact la timp.

They managed to rejoin the group just in time.

Profesorul lor, doamna Popescu, părea surprinsă și curioasă când Ioana i-a arătat fotografiile.

Their teacher, Mrs. Popescu, seemed surprised and curious when Ioana showed her the photographs.

"Acestea sunt incredibile!

"These are incredible!"

" exclamă ea.

she exclaimed.

"Îmi pare rău pentru faptul că ați încălcat regulile, dar descoperirea voastră este extraordinară!

"I'm sorry you broke the rules, but your discovery is extraordinary!"

"Mai târziu, în autobuzul de întoarcere, Ioana se simțea triumfătoare, Raluca se bucura în secret că a ieșit din zona ei de confort, iar Dorin învățase că uneori e bine să fii mai precaut.

Later, on the bus ride back, Ioana felt triumphant, Raluca secretly enjoyed stepping out of her comfort zone, and Dorin learned that sometimes it's good to be more cautious.

Și astfel, cei trei prieteni s-au întors acasă nu doar cu povești, ci și cu lecții prețioase, amintind-se că uneori magia și aventura așteaptă chiar după colțuri ascunse.

And so, the three friends returned home not just with stories but also with valuable lessons, reminding them that sometimes magic and adventure await just around hidden corners.
