Mist, Myths, and Mischief at Bratislava Castle
Bolo skoro ráno a hmla sa lenivo plazila okolo stien Bratislavského hradu.
It was early morning and the fog lazily draped itself around the walls of Bratislava Castle.
Igor, a boy with a vivid imagination, had gone on a trip there with his friend Lenka.
Hrad s jeho tajomnými kútmi ich vždy lákal skúmať nové príbehy a dobrodružstvá.
The castle, with its mysterious corners, always enticed them to explore new stories and adventures.
As they roamed the castle, Igor noticed an old statue in the courtyard.
It was a knight guarding the entrance to a secret garden.
In the first chilly and misty haze, Igor lost sight of Lenka and turned to the statue, believing it to be a real person.
"Zdravím ťa, pane," začal Igor, kým posadil na lavičku vedľa sochy.
"Greetings, sir," Igor began as he sat on a bench next to the statue.
"Nevieš náhodou, kde sa stratila moja priateľka?
"Do you happen to know where my friend has disappeared to?"
"Socha, samozrejme, na jeho otázku nereagovala.
Of course, the statue did not respond to his question.
Igor looked at its stony face in surprise.
"You don't have to be so quiet, I know you have many experiences here," Igor continued with a smile, thinking that the knight was just shy.
Začal rozprávať o dobrodružstvách, ktoré si s Lenkou vymýšľali.
He started telling tales of the adventures he and Lenka had invented.
He spoke of pretending to be castle defenders against dragon invasions, and of wandering through the chilling corridors in search of treasures.
Igor s nadšením hovoril, dokonca aj párkrát položil soche otázku, čakajúc odpoveď.
Igor spoke enthusiastically, even asking the statue a question a few times, expecting an answer.
After a moment of silence, Igor finally realized that the statue was just a statue.
Lenka appeared, annoyed that he had wandered off.
"Igor, to vôbec nie je živá osoba, to je socha!
"Igor, that's not a living person at all, it's a statue!"
Lenka laughed when she realized his confusion.
Igor blushed a little but laughed along with her.
It was clear that his imagination was too vivid, but they didn't mind.
They came to realize that the era of knights had long passed, but the stories and legends still lived within the castle walls.
Igor and Lenka realized that true adventure and friendship also lay in the little mistakes they experienced together.
From that day on, they became even better friends, and they knew how to bring a smile to anyone who willingly joined in their stories.
And although Igor no longer addressed the statue as if it were a real person, his story with the knight became a favorite anecdote, which he and Lenka reminisced about on many more adventures in the mysterious corners of Bratislava Castle.
