The Lively 'Statue' of Bratislava
One sunny day, when the sky above Bratislava brightened in the most beautiful shades of blue, Marek decided to visit Bratislava Castle.
He had longed to capture its majestic beauty in a photograph.
Všade okolo boli turisti aj miestni obyvatelia, ktorí si tak isto užívali pekný deň.
Tourists and locals were everywhere, all enjoying the nice day.
Keď Marek prechádzal okolo hradných múrov, všimol si nádhernú sochu psa.
As Marek walked past the castle walls, he noticed a beautiful statue of a dog.
Or at least he thought it was a statue.
It was actually a very peaceful and motionless dog named Oliver, belonging to Jane, who was about to return from grabbing a snack.
Marek admired the "statue" of the dog, which had smooth fur and looked as lively as a real one.
"Ako dokázali urobiť niečo také realistické?
"How did they manage to make something so realistic?"
" zamyslel sa.
he wondered.
He wanted to have an unforgettable selfie with his discovery, so he sat next to the dog and took a photo.
V tom momente sa Oliver pohol.
At that moment, Oliver moved.
Marek takmer spadol zo steny, na ktorej sedel.
Marek almost fell off the wall he was sitting on.
"Ty si živý!
"You're alive!"
" zvolal prekvapene.
he exclaimed in surprise.
Pes ho len pokojne pozeral veľkými, priateľskými očami.
The dog just looked at him calmly with big, friendly eyes.
Just then, Jane ran over and said with a smile, "I can see you like my Oliver.
I'm afraid he's not for sale, but we can take a photo together if you want."
"Marek sa ospravedlnil a povedal, že ho opravu pomýlil so sochou.
Marek apologized, explaining that he had mistaken him for a statue.
Jane just laughed and said it had happened to other people as well.
Predsa len, Oliver mal dar ostať nápadne nehybný.
After all, Oliver had a knack for remaining remarkably still.
So Marek, Oliver, and Jane smiled together for the camera, and even though the day started a bit oddly, it ended with great fun and a new friendship.
Marek realized that sometimes a mistake can lead to beautiful moments, and among his photographs, alongside the beautiful shots of Bratislava Castle, there was also a very lively "statue."
