Marek sat in the corner and watched as the snowflakes slowly settled on the windows of the community center.

  • V izbe bolo teplo a zneli tu zvuky hudby a smiechu.

The room was warm, filled with sounds of music and laughter.

The Winter Performance School was approaching, and worries settled in his stomach like icy pebbles.

  • Marek mal rád divadlo.

    Marek loved theater.

  • V kúte srdca túžil vystúpiť pred divákmi a zaujať všetkých.

In the corner of his heart, he longed to perform in front of an audience and captivate everyone.

But his stage fright always stood in his way.

  • S úzkosťou vnímal Jozefa, ktorý zatiaľ križoval izbu plný sebavedomia.

With anxiety, he noticed Jozef, who was confidently moving across the room.

  • Jozef hral hlavnú rolu a všetci ho obdivovali.

Jozef had the lead role, and everyone admired him.

But Marek most wanted to impress Zuzana, who was as vibrant as a January fire.

  • Nasledujúce dni začínal Marek trénovať po škole sám, v prázdnom komunitnom centre.

In the following days, Marek began training alone after school in the empty community center.

  • Cítil ticho a pokoj.

He felt quiet and at peace.

  • Predstavoval si, že sedadlá sú plné a on stojí uprostred pódia.

He imagined the seats were full, and he stood in the middle of the stage.

  • Keď raz cvičil, vstúpil mu do cesty Jozef.

One time while practicing, Jozef crossed his path.

  • Ale tentokrát nemal posmešky.

But this time, there were no taunts.

  • „Ak potrebuješ pomoc, povedz.

"If you need help, just say.

  • Závidím tvoju odvahu,“ povedal.

I envy your courage," he said.

  • Marek bol zaskočený.

    Marek was taken aback.

  • Jedného popoludnia prišla do miestnosti Zuzana práve vtedy, keď sa Marek pokúšal o svoj part.

One afternoon, Zuzana came into the room just as Marek was working on his part.

  • Zvraštil sa, zovrelo mu hrdlo, a chcel utiecť.

He got flustered, his throat tightened, and he wanted to run away.

Zuzana looked at him and said with a smile, "You sound good, Marek.

  • Len si ver.

    Just believe in yourself."

  • “ Jej povzbudenie bolo presne to, čo potreboval.

Her encouragement was exactly what he needed.

  • Dni ubiehali a prišiel deň predstavenia.

Days passed, and the performance day arrived.

  • Marek, vnútorne pokojný, stúpil na pódium.

Marek, internally calm, stepped onto the stage.

  • Zaspieval svoje sólo a zvuk jeho hlasu naplnil miestnosť.

He sang his solo, and the sound of his voice filled the room.

  • Keď skončil, sály zaznel potlesk.

When he finished, the hall erupted in applause.

Jozef, who had nudged and encouraged him, was among those clapping the loudest.

  • Marek vystúpil z pódia o niečo vyšší, svet sa zdal iný.

Marek stepped off the stage a little taller, the world seemed different.

He realized that with friends by his side, anything is possible.

He shook hands with Jozef, smiled at Zuzana, and felt the last icy pebbles melt in his hands.

  • Sneh vonku stále padal, ale vnútri Mareka žiarilo niečo teplejšie.

The snow outside continued to fall, but inside Marek something warmer glowed.

  • Úspechy, ktoré sú zdieľané, robí spoločnosť sladšími.

Successes that are shared make company sweeter.

And so, a new friendship was born among Marek, Zuzana, and Jozef.
