สำนักงานแห่งหนึ่งเต็มไปด้วยเสียงการกดแป้นพิมพ์และเสียงโทรศัพท์ร้องดัง

An office was filled with the sound of keyboard typing and ringing phones.

ท่ามกลางบรรยากาศที่คึกคักนี้ อนันดา นั่งอยู่ที่โต๊ะทำงานของเขา

Amid this bustling atmosphere, Ananda sat at his desk.

เขามองดูปฏิทินบนผนังที่แสดงวันที่ 13 เมษายน วันสงกรานต์กำลังมา

He looked at the calendar on the wall displaying April 13th—Songkran was approaching.

"สงกรานต์อีกแล้วเหรอ" เขาพึมพำกับตนเอง

"Songkran again?" he mumbled to himself.

The vibrant play of water splashing and the joyful laughter from his childhood still shone in his heart, yet he was concerned about being punctual with his duties.

สุธารัตน์ เพื่อนร่วมงานแสนสดใสของอนันดาเดินเข้ามา

Sutharat, Ananda's lively coworker, walked in.

ขณะที่เธอยิ้มเหยียดอยู่นั้นเธอกล่าวด้วยน้ำเสียงมีชีวิตชีวา "พร้อมจะไปร้านค้าหาอุปกรณ์สงกรานต์หรือยัง"

As she smiled broadly, she spoke with an energetic voice, "Ready to go shopping for Songkran equipment yet?"

"ผมไม่แน่ใจนะ" อนันดาตอบขณะมองดูงานบนโต๊ะ

"I'm not sure," Ananda replied while looking at the work on his desk.

สุธารัตน์ยิ้มและตอบด้วยความเข้าใจ "แค่ไปดูก่อน เรามีเวลาช่วงพักเที่ยงเยอะเลย"

Sutharat smiled and responded understandingly, "Let's just browse first. We have plenty of time during lunch break."

ทั้งสองออกจากสำนักงานเดินไปที่ตลาดบนถนนใกล้เคียง

The two of them left the office and walked to the nearby street market.

สุธารัตน์หยิบเสื้อเชิ้ตดอกไม้สีสันสดใสมาลองดู

Sutharat picked up a brightly colored floral shirt and tried it on.

"ชุดนี้น่ารักดีนะ ลองใส่ดูไหม"

"This outfit is cute. Want to try it?"

อนันดาตอบลังเล "มันดูเป็นทางการเกินไปสำหรับงานนะ"

Ananda hesitated, "It seems too formal for work."

"มาลองให้สนุกกันดีกว่า ซื้อน้ำฉีดซักอันไหม แล้วจะได้เล่นได้ในช่วงบ่าย?" สุธารัตน์สนับสนุนอย่างกระตือรือร้น

"Let's just try to have some fun. How about buying a water gun so we can play in the afternoon?" Sutharat encouraged eagerly.

ในที่สุด เขาก็ตัดสินใจซื้อปืนฉีดน้ำและเสื้อเชิ้ตดอกไม้

Finally, he decided to buy a water gun and a floral shirt.

"เป็นไปได้ ผมจะรู้สึกดีขึ้น" อนันดากล่าวด้วยรอยยิ้มคาดไม่ถึง

"It’s possible I’ll feel better," Ananda said with an unexpected smile.

สุธารัตน์หัวเราะและกล่าว "สงกรานต์คือเวลาที่ของเตือนใจให้เราผ่อนคลายกันสักนิด"

Sutharat laughed and said, "Songkran is a time to remind us to loosen up a bit."

ทั้งคู่กลับไปสำนักงาน เตรียมพร้อมสำหรับงานปาร์ตี้สงกรานต์ในบ่ายวันนั้น

The pair returned to the office, ready for the Songkran party that afternoon.

เมื่ออนันดารู้สึกถึงความเย็นของน้ำสาดใส่เขา ความทรงจำในวัยเด็กเกิดขึ้นดั่งลำน้ำเขาหัวเราะเสียงดัง
